We have several large series and I have not been able to catalogue the books in order meaning the barcodes are not in order either. When the series is searched the titles are not in issue order. An example is the Seven Sister series. When searched the titles appear as book 1, book 7, book 4 etc. I put the series title into 490 a and the series number into 490 v. I have played around with this but it still does not work Is there a way to have the list in the series numerical order so we can advise on the order the books should be read? Hi, String freeze is into effect as of now for the 21.05.x maintenance branch. This means it's the right time to head over to the translation platform: https://translate.koha-community.org/projects/ Reminder: if you add or change a translation in version 21.05, then you must also copy it to 21.11 and 22.05. import question

We just built a KOHA server and would like to import our other Library manager data. We are currently using one called "Handy Library Manager" made by "Primasoft" We exported the data from that system and it is just a excel file We have about 14K books. We don't want to remake the database in KOHA by hand. Is there a way to import it into KOHA? If needed, I can give a copy of the DB export so you can see what we have. Thanks Jason

ExplodedTerms show span markup

Hello, Koha 22.05 When we have selected the ExplodedTerms Did you mean? plugin, the html markup <span></span> is visible on the OPAC search result page as so: <span>Search also for broader subjects</span> Not sure if this is a bug or if we have some design issues. Record display turns completely blank

Hi, Occasionally when we view/create/edit a record, the record page will not display properly, all the field will turn blank, any update to the record just pauses and we need to wait from minutes to hours before it fixes itself and the record to be displayed normally again. Koha upgrade error from 1905 to 21.11

I wanted to upgrade my koha to latest version. While upgrading when I ran upgrade directly it threw error hence ?I tried upgrading from 19.05 to 19.11 then from 19.11 to 20.11 then from 20.11 to 21.11 there were no errors and upgrade was successful. Before upgrading to 20.11 I had installed Mojolicious::Plugin::OpenAPI and then ran upgrades of 20.11 and 21.11. 1. I am unable to see my libraries name in under Global System Preferences under libraries option. 2. We are unable to circulate books through RFId and I found error as com.mysql.jdbc.exceptions.jdbc4.MySQLSyntaxErrorException: Table 'koha-ncl.issuingrules" does not exist. 3. [Elasticsearch] Search doesn't escape trailing full stop

Hi everyone We have a record that can't seem to link to an authority record, I think this is because it has a trailing full stop - for example, John Smith Jr. When we strip out the trailing full stop (i.e. John Smith Jr), the search is successful. We get zero results if we keep it. There is an easy workaround to strip the trailing full stop when we search, however I'm sure there's a configurable way to avoid this. The default Elasticsearch index configuration that comes with Koha is: https://git.koha-community.org/Koha-community/Koha/src/branch/master/admin/… I wonder the 'keyword' tokenizer is what causes this problem? Perhaps we could change it to 'standard' which removes most punctuation - I'd like to try but would love to know if this would solve my problem without rebuilding all my indexes! Question re TOCs and other digital content

Hello again, as far as we know, Koha provides no possibility to index uploaded files, e.g. pdfs containing a table of content, an abstract, or a full text. As this info isn't so very recent, perhaps there has been development in this area that we aren't aware of? I checked the documentation, but couldn't really find anything. Error in creating another instance

Hi all, I have created an instance 'library' but soon after creating it when i am applying the command "sudo koha-create --create-db library1" It is showing ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO) Kindly help Warm regards Rishav
