by Richard Pritsky 02 Jun '10

02 Jun '10

I fear I'm being dense with the new Offline Circulation program. --It appears to install successfully on XP, Vista, and 7. --I create the borrowers db with the sqllite3 switch and copy it to the PCs. --The app opens fine... but when I go to search for a patron, the menu pops up, I enter the name, click the search button and I get Runtime Error! Program.....\KohaOfflineCirculation.exe This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Pleas contact the application's support team for more information. Koha problems - Allan Bean Centre Library
by Bernadette Cassidy 02 Jun '10

02 Jun '10

Hi, we have recently upgraded our server (which hosts Koha) and some of the features in the catalogue module are not displaying properly. The Linux version is: Ubuntu Server 8.04, given the issues with the catalogue, I was wondering if these are fixable or do we need to upgrade to the latest version of Koha? Currently, we are using Koha version 2.0.2 Kind regards, Bernadette Bernadette Cassidy PhD Manager, Library & Information Services New Zealand Spinal Trust Allan Bean Centre , Private Bag 4708 Christchurch, Tel: +64 (3) 383 9492 Fax: + 64 (3) 383 7500 Email: bernadettec(a)burwood.org.nz Website: www.nzspinaltrust.org.nz www.spinalessentials.org.nz <<Picture (Device Independent Bitmap)>> Empowering New Zealanders with spinal cord impairment to live independent, productive and confident lives - right now!

Meeting reminder - general meeting, tomorrow, 2 June 2010, 10:00 UTC+0
by Galen Charlton 02 Jun '10

02 Jun '10

Hi, The next general meeting of the Koha project is scheduled for tomorrow, 2 June 2010, at 10:00 UTC+0. The page for the meeting, including current agenda and links to time converters, can be found at: http://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/General_Meeting,_June_2_2010 At present, the agenda is: 1. Update on Roadmap to 3.2. 2. Update on Roadmap to 3.0. 3. Follow-up on actions from General Meeting, May 5 2010. 4. Discuss switching licensing for all new code submissions to Affero General Public License (AGPL) 1. AGPL does not prevent unfriendly vendor lock-in (still achievable through access control, particularly to the databases) while introducing onerous burdens on friendly hosters. http://lists.katipo.co.nz/pipermail/koha/2010-May/023816.html 5. (If time permits) Revisit vendor listing requirements on koha-community.org. 1. Anti-privatisation requirement (private domains or trademarks, legal proceedings) http://lists.katipo.co.nz/pipermail/koha/2010-May/023785.html 2. Linkback requirement - also http://lists.katipo.co.nz/pipermail/koha/2010-May/023785.html 6. info(a)koha.org address: various places reference an info(a)koha.org address whose destination is unknown. Should we have an info(a)koha-community.org? If so, where should it go? 1. forward to the main Koha mailing list? 2. replace references to info(a)koha.org with themain Koha mailing list address? 3. establish a new koha-info mailing list that info(a)koha-community.org forwards to? 4. have it be an auto-responder that directs the inquiry to the project website? 7. Agree times of next meetings. Regards, Galen -- Galen Charlton gmcharlt(a)gmail.com

by Tomas Cohen Arazi 01 Jun '10

01 Jun '10

Dear Koha community, We are pleased to announce that the National University of Córdoba (Universidad Nacional de Córdoba, Argentina) has finished its migration to Koha 3. The process was leaded by a team of members of the institution and comprised the migration of 23 libraries and over 300k records from CDS/ISIS to MARC21. We are happy to implement this open source solution and want to thank the great Koha community and its fantastic developers for your support. Without it this wouldn't be possible. KUDOS at ALA
by vtl＠scls.lib.wi.us 01 Jun '10

01 Jun '10

Based on results of the Doodle poll for holding a KUDOS meeting at ALA, Monday, June 28 at 11am appears to be a pretty good time. We need a meeting location. For those of you familiar with Washington, could you recommend a place near the convention center? A restaurant with a large meeting table could work. -- Vicki Teal Lovely Helping our 52 member libraries provide the best possible service to the public.
