Ok, Today is the day I will be shifting all the bugs from bugs.koha.org to bugs.koha-community.org. I plan to start the shift in 1 hour (10am NZST). It would help immensely if no one used bugs.koha.org after that time, and I will email when bugs.koha-community is up and ready to go. Chris

Setting up federated search

Hello all, I am making a research into how to setup federated search. This will be to search separate instances of koha installed on separate servers. Here in Nigeria Internet access is not very reliable and so the option of having several libraries on same server is not attractive as the other branches will be fully down when the Internet access is down. But on separate servers, each branch can work and then search other branches if Internet access is available. I have come across dbwiz, pazpar2 and also OAI. However I dont fully understand how to set up any of these. Specifically I would be grateful if i could get help/pointers/documentation/walk through on 1. How to enable public z39.50 server on koha install 2. The best (and easy?) method for federated search out of those above or any additional one 3. How to set up the system(s) It would also be nice if the federated search could include online databases like JSTOR etc. By the way i am using Koha 3.05 on ubuntu 9.10 Thanks so much to everyone who has made this a great list! This survey is part of a research project, funded by IMLS, comparing the technical support of Open Source Integrated Libary Systems with technical support of proprietary Integrated Library Systems. Hello Luis, You need to run the commands from the directory you unpacked the new 3.06. I have not done an upgrade to 3.06 yet but have done quite a few 3.02 to 3.05 and it was a piece of cake. Hello all I would liek to upgrade koha 3.00.02 to last versio 3.06 So in the INSTALL txt I see this: UPGRADE ======= If you are upgrading from a previous installation of Koha 3, you can use the following: perl Makefile.PL --prev-install-log /path/to/koha-install-log make make test sudo make upgrade I do not anderstand exactly....the Makefile.PL command had to be lunched from the new koha directory?? so koha-3.06 ?? or from the other version? And then the path to koha install log, what is this path exactly? Thanks in advance Cheers

Koha/Evergreen feature compare

Hi All, I'm opening this up to the larger community for your feedback. I've been working with a smallish group of people to get a Koha and Evergreen feature listing completed. It is done using Drupal so it is very flexible, relatively easy to edit, but not that easy to add new features. You can see it here: http://rscel.org/features and here http://os-ol/features The small group I've been working with has edit privileges and I'm willing to add other editors if a few more people are interested. Let me know. Any registered user of the os-ol.org website (and soon rscel.org too) can request that features be added to the list. I'm hoping, for now, that those of you very familiar with the features of the two current versions of Koha 3.2 and Evergreen 1.6 will look over what we've got listed and send me any corrections, suggest important features to list, and otherwise help me make this a thorough listing that helps people understand what is there in the product(s) today and what isn't. Once this is fleshed out and I have some assurances that we have it right, I will make the pages public and linked to via the menu-ing systems of each of those sites. Hello, Does any one know where we can find the code repo to implement the Title Rating feature in Koha ? We have looked in Koha git repo and asked Koha colleagues around but we so far no luck.
