Ubuntu version to Install Koha
by Geovana de Paula Santos Tarricone 23 Jul '10

23 Jul '10

Hi, First I'd like to thank the community that always send me good and quickly answers. Now I'd like to know what Ubuntu's version is recommended to install Koha. I've found installation manuals about version 8.10 to Koha's versios 3.0, it's good enough? Thanks, Geovana.

Advance notice that items will soon be due
by Dillon Moore 23 Jul '10

23 Jul '10

Hi, I've been trying to find a way to send an advance notice to patrons that their loans will be due in 3 days. I did turn on the EnhancedMessagingPreferences, but I haven't been able to find the option for "Default messaging preferences for this patron category" which Karen mentions in the attached thread. Is this a feature that has been introduced for 3.2? We're currently running 3.00.01.005. Hide and seek of fields MARC framework
by Vimal Kumar 22 Jul '10

22 Jul '10

Dear Friends, Default MARC frame displays all fields, at the same time other frameworks (e.g. BKS) does not show certain fields. Example, 010 Library of Congress Control Number display in DEFAULT marc framework. The same field does not display in BKS framework. How enable hiding fields in BKS? -- Vimal Kumar V. Asst. Koha and CollectionHQ
by Lori Bowen Ayre 22 Jul '10

22 Jul '10

Recently learned about CollectionHQ <http://www.collectionhq.com/> which sounds like a very slick tool for managing collections and helping with weeding decisions and I hear tell that someone moving to an open source ILS is working with the company (but they wouldn't say who). Can anyone shed any light on this? I'd love to verify that someone is working with them. It fills a missing piece (in all ILSs). I know nothing about pricing except that it is subscription-based. Anyone working on this integration? Lori Ayre
