Koha 3.4: Branch not setting in Label Creator

Dear Koha Community I have upgraded to Koha 3.4 but I'm unable to use the Label Creator. Whenever I create new batch or manage existing batch it says: *WARNING:* An error was encountered and items(s) not added, the error was: Branch is not set, you please set your branch before adding items to a batch Please have your system administrator check the error log for details. The I checked the archives and find the same issue in the following mails: 1- http://koha.1045719.n5.nabble.com/How-to-create-label-td4372828.html 2- http://koha.1045719.n5.nabble.com/Problem-with-Label-Batch-Create-td4344579… But could not find any solution yet... Koha - replacing the "Cart" button text ?

I have installed Koha in spanish in Kubuntu and want to know how to change the "Mapa" (Cart) Text into Carrito/Bolsa, etc. using CSS. Thanks.

Kurt, [adding the list so everyone can benefit from your examples] I can see setting a default 'not needed after' date in an academic library, since by and large most students would not care about getting a school-related book after the semester ended. This would need to be overridable, so they could place holds for next semester, or for pleasure-reading. It would also need to be updated easily by the librarians every term.... and probably on a per-patron type basis, so that professors didn't get caught up with the same default date. The other examples are very individual, and likely work well with the current, non-default functionality as it exists now. We could certainly add this to Koha, but figuring out the management interface would be tricky. Koha: hold period

All, This is probably a really stupid question, so I apologize. Where can I set a default hold period? I know that the patron can set a "Hold not needed after" date, but is there a way to set a default that the hold period isn't indefinite? In the tools section, Export bibliographic and holdings data... then select USB, etc. tho save the file.mrc Saludos.

Koha - Reference copies on opac-search.pl results list

All, I was wondering how libraries with open-shelf reference materials are handling the "Place a Hold" link in the search results page (opac-search.pl). As of this instant (and we're a "work in progress") , we have "Copies available for reference" meaning they are open shelf and not on loan (i.e. reference materials like encyclopedias, etc) and "Copies available for loan" It's a bit wordy, and we may need to come up with a way of saying which reference room location they are in, because we have 3. You can see that if you click on the opac-detail, but it might be nice to have it on the search results page? Anyway, my real question, does anyone else have a "problem" (okay, not a problem, but an "issue"?) with materials having only reference copies, and then having the hold link? The "Sorry none of these items can be placed on hold" is okay, but I was thinking about maybe some javascript to hide the Hold link if there are no copies available for loan. Creating Call Numbers

Dear Sir/ Madam, We are creating an online catalogue system to document over 3,000 items that we have in 5 different locations. We want to assign to each item a call number so that once having found the item on Koha we can then find it easily in the actual library location. However, when we upload an item in Koha it has the subfield o- Full Call Number and this is not automatically generated - we don`t understand why this is because shouldn`t it be automatically generated based on the preference of the field 2-Source of Classification or shelving scheme (Dewey or LOC)?? Maybe we have understood this incorrectly, but what we need to do is generate a reference number/code for each item so that it can be labelled on the item and then put within the shelves in an ordered way. How is this possible?
