OPAC searching for old IP address

I'm running Koha 3.04. The IP address for my server recently changed and I've changed koha-httpd.conf to the new IP address. However, when I run a search through the OPAC, it retrieves results accurately, but then I can see that Firefox is trying to connect to the old IP address, which it eventually times out. Hi Chris, They don't -- it was just programmatical curiosity on my behalf (I have this very old-fashioned foible about trying to understand what I do.) Also, a number of other posters have mentioned similar occurrences, so I thought that adding my two cents that "a quick verification showed no loss of functionality" might have been helpful. That was one of the reasons I changed the Subject: from "xyz fails" to something more generic. Best - Paul

Checkout fails

Upon trying to check items out to a patron this message appears: -- Software error: Can't call method "subfield" on an undefined value at /usr/share/koha/lib/C4/Biblio.pm line 3008. For help, please send mail to the webmaster (webmaster@vps185), giving this error message and the time and date of the error. -- The item gets checked out (i.e. it appears in the list of items checked out to the client when you go return to the checkout page). The same happens with check in. The items get checked in, but Koha stops at the error message. Similar error message appears when trying to add a new issue to an existing subscription. I think the problem might be related to error I received when updating the database to new Koha version (http://koha.1045719.n5.nabble.com/Database-update-errors-td5068234.html) Any help here? Thanks, and yes -- but what I was trying to research was *why* the Perl script was trying to do it twice (I am sure that whoever wrote it had a good reason for that particular line appearing at that particular place.) Also, I understand the functionality of 'maxItemsInSearchResults', but not that of 'privacy' ... I'll be taking a closer look at these sort of details, but at the moment am more concerned with system security, reliability and speed (Paul P. has made some interesting suggestions on the developers' list) as I want to get the new server into production on 1 Jan and this includes the customization (automated barcodes and call numbers via our own Perl modules, frameworks and screen presentations.) For example, I see that search is now giving us under "Location": 1 item, None available 1 unavailable Archives and Collections {correct shelf location} (Damaged) not for loan whereas there is in fact 1 item available, reference only, (Normal wear) not for loan The devil is in the details ... but we're having fun. I encountered exactly those same errors on my Koha 3.6.1. It seems the errors only appear when you upgrade the db from a previous version (3.2, in my case) of Koha to 3.6. Accession No. and Barcode filed mapping

Hi all, I have mapped 952$p with unique serial of barcode for circulation (e.g. LIB1000101, LIB1000102, LIB1000102)... I also have Accession no. (e.g. 254123, 19982, 05241) please guide me what field I'll use for accession no. mapping (as i already have a 952$p for serial barcode) Kind regards, Syed
