Books to be checked in at home library message
by amutsikiwa 30 Apr '12

30 Apr '12

Hi I have a koha site which used to run one branch library. Now I have brought in another branch library, so they are two independent libraries. I think there is any mis-configuration of one of the system preferences. Now, when a book is been checked in at one of the libraries to which it belongs, a message is popping up indicating that the book should be checked in at the home library. I can not figure out how to resolve this issue Regards, Admire

Oh no. :( This is not good. But, we suspect that the problem is on the InnoDB. Do you know any procedure to repair InnoDB? we have found out that the database (structure) is intact. However, the data (ibdata1) is corrupted. Do we have a way to repair it? Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock'
by Nadel Catura 30 Apr '12

30 Apr '12

Good day everyone! I am currently experiencing:Koha error The following fatal error has occurred: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (2) at /usr/share/koha/lib/C4/Context.pm line 666. Compilation failed in require at /usr/share/koha/lib/C4/Circulation.pm line 25. BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /usr/share/koha/lib/C4/Circulation.pm line 25. Compilation failed in require at /usr/share/koha/lib/C4/Overdues.pm line 24. BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /usr/share/koha/lib/C4/Overdues.pm line 24. Compilation failed in require at /usr/share/koha/lib/C4/Members.pm line 27. BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /usr/share/koha/lib/C4/Members.pm line 27. Compilation failed in require at /usr/share/koha/intranet/cgi-bin/mainpage.pl line 23. BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /usr/share/koha/intranet/cgi-bin/mainpage.pl line 23. I've tried Google-ing some "resolutions" to this kind of problem, but any of it didn't work. In this error says that, "mysqld.sock" is not found. When I go to the /var/run/mysqld/ directory, and type *ls*, no file is contained. But when we try to *locate*, it tells us that the mysqld.sock is in that particular directory. we have no backup of the database. We really need to retrieve it. Please help.. :( -- Have a nice day!* ☺☺☺☺☺☺ Nadel D. Catura* *System Developer* *Information Technology Office *De La Salle Canlubang Leandro V. Koha 3.8 on Debian Squeeze
by Sander898 28 Apr '12

28 Apr '12

Hi everybody, i'm completely Newbie with koha, and i'm very little familiar with packeges and installation on linux SO also. I've installed Debian Squeeze (6.0.4-i386-xfce) and i'm wondering where can i find a step by step guide (with all packeges requires, apache, mysq, zebra and perl configuration) for the installation of Koha 3.8 on this operating system, all the guide that i've seen seems to be too generic, for my little knowledges. Sorry for my inexperience, and thank you for your patience and your support.
