Dear all We are facing this bug again but this time with Koha 3.6.4, in our case.. Fiscal roll over in Koha?

Does anyone out there have any experience completing a fiscal roll over in Koha? I'm referring to rolling or moving vendors, funds and orders from the previous fiscal year, to a new fiscal year. I don't see any information out there about this, especially regarding rolling encumbrances and orders not yet received, intact. If this is not possible, how do library systems in Koha segue into a new fiscal year? We are currently using Koha 3.6. Thanks in advance..... Maureen McElroy Manager Technical Services Dept. How to add Contents of Journals in koha

Dear Friends, If in Serials Module , I want to add contents of Journals, how to add the contents? Which option is available in the Module? In 6xx Marc Tag, I can wrtite the subject of the Journal. But, where can I add the contents of the Issues? LDAP - shows wrong patron account.

Hello, We have a site currently running Koha 3.6.0 against an LDAP (AD) server for authentication. On more than one occasion a borrower (different each time) has reported logging into their account with their login details but being presented with somebody else's account details. As you can imagine the site are very concerned about the security implications of this problem. I checked the session table (in case CGI::Session had generated 2 identical session id's, which should be impossible anyway) and cleared it down but it didn't take long for another user to report the problem. I will enable some more verbose logging on the LDAP connection but I am wondering if anyone else has ever experienced such a problem? Thanks Barry(a)oslo.ie http://www.oslo.ie

run environment variables and koha-index-daemon command in terminal every time after the restart the computer

Looking for co-sponsorship for a small overdues reporting enhancement - (overdue calls list)

Hello: Our overdues procedure is probably fairly similar to other libraries. Our Koha system sends out a first, second, and third letter at specified intervals. After that we begin a manual process that escalates through various steps. Before we get to a certain point, we want to start calling severely delinquent patrons on the phone, in hopes that a personal call will get a better response. So we need to be able to easily generate an overdues call list. To that end we approached our support vendor, Equinox, for some enhancement work to create a new customized overdues report (see http://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=8053) I am hoping to find one or two cosponsors for this small project. Rough Description: The end product would create a new report that would be linked from the circ menu page. It would produce an overdue list and function similarly to the holds to pull report. It will open within the Koha environment (i.e. not exported to a spreadsheet) and will be sortable by column and limitable by date, also similar to the current Holds to Pull report. The report will be printer-friendly (to the same extent that holds to pull is). Columns would include: > Patron barcode> Last name> Firstname> Phone number > e-mail address > Items list > Date Overdue since > Replacement cost > total Current fines owed (on account). It will be limitable to overdue issues that are at least x weeks past their due date and no more than 12. A date range could also be manually entered by staff as in the current practice with HOLDS TO PULL. The end product would be made available for consideration in mainstream community Koha. If you are interested and would like more specific details about the proposed development, you please contact me directly. The proposed development cost isn't huge - just a little more than we can take on by ourselves. If you think your library could benefit from this enhancement, and you would like to learn more about sharing costs, read the proposal specifics, etc. please contact me directly. data migration from libsys to koha

Dear All, I want to data migration from libsys to koha, My current state is that I took backup from libsys in iso format and convert it in .mrk files. Now my problem is that it shows tag numbers like 999 964 etc. When I tried to import .mrc files in koha by script bulkmarcimport in koha/bin/migration directory, it imported data but did not show 900 series tags. And it is not proper shows all information like accession numbers etc. That is my current status. Can anybody help me to properly tag mapping for koha in .mrk files. So that it can take all the data while importing properly. Any help will be helpfull regarding tag mapping from libsys to koha. Thanks in advance. Regards Amit

Dear Koha-List Members! presently I am working on importing a school library (>10000 records) into koha. I have a csv file with all items. The actual format is: author, title, full call number(shelf place), barcode I convert this file via marcedit into mrk, and mrc file. mrc sample: =LDR 00232nam a2200109Ia 45e0 =008 120501s9999\\\\xx\\\\\\\\\\\\000\0\und\d =100 \\$aauthor =245 \\$atitle =952 \\$oFCN(Shelf) =952 \\$pbarcode Importing this mrc file via 'Stage marc record ...' results in a record with two items, one 952$o item and one 952$p item. I would expect to have one record with one item having the 952$o and the 952$p entry. Is this the standard behaviour? Are there any settings where I can define which mrc syntax will result in creating a new item? Is there a documentation how the import is handled? Some of my records have multiple item for one record, they look like: author, title, full call number(shelf place), barcode1 author, title, full call number(shelf place), barcode2 How should the mrc file look like to get a multiple item import with each having the 952$o entry? Maybe a marcedit forum would be the better address but maybe one of you can help how to set marcedit for converting the above mentioned csv structure into the necessary mrc file syntax?! any hints, links are welcome. Recovering circulation history

We've had a couple instances lately where item records have been accidentally deleted. Once the item is restored all circulation history is gone. I can find the issue, renew & return data under Statistics in MySQL. Is there a way to restore this data to Issues so that it again appears in the Circulation History?
