Koha vs Liblime Koha
by Jesse Lambertson 08 Dec '14

08 Dec '14

Hello everyone, We are about to set up our servers and technical services for our library here at the Cultural Center. Changing offices and events have kept us very busy. But I was looking at the LibLime "version" of Koha and wondered, out of curiosity, what problems I might run into if I installed their version instead of the current stable version as hosted on the community wiki. Just curious if anyone has run into any issues that might pop up in this instance or if the installation and upgrading process would all be the same. Thanks in advance, Jesse -- Jesse A Lambertson Librarian Sultan Qaboos Cultural Center 1100 16th St, NW Washington, DC 20036

3.16 for a consortium set up
by GCL NGLG 08 Dec '14

Dear All, We are currently testing Koha 3.16 as part of a 3 College consortium. Is it possible to hide search returns at item level when searching across a Group of Libraries? Group A - 2 Libraries Group B - 3 Libraries Group C - 1 Library That is, when using the pull down menu in the opac, setting it to Group B it will only return titles and items for those 3 Libraries? Many thanks.

Another person asked same question, please have a look: http://lists.katipo.co.nz/public/koha/2012-January/031876.html http://lists.katipo.co.nz/public/koha/2012-January/031885.html And this: http://lists.katipo.co.nz/public/koha/2012-January/031885.html If you choose to try and learn how to install Linux and then Koha on Linux, there are numerous resources how to do that. See this: *Dual Boot Ubuntu and Windows 7* https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SeSaVzyPY8k Or this: *Install Ubuntu Linux using a bootable USB Flash Drive on any Computer * https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lIF8e_5F9B4 Once you are able to do above, then install Koha by following this: http://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Koha_on_ubuntu_-_packages Hope this helps. Re: [Koha] Koha 3.18 : Search Patrons -- Possible Bug
by Bob Ewart 07 Dec '14

Hi I updated Koha last night on Xubuntu using the PPA. Now I'm having the same problem on Firefox 34.0, It's working on Firefox 33.0. As a work around, you can search using the 'Check out' tab on the home page and then clicking on the "Details" tab. On Firefox 34.0 the console shows: Empty string passed to getElementById(). jquery.js:2 Use of getPreventDefault() is deprecated. Use defaultPrevented instead. jquery.js:3 TypeError: c is undefined query.dataTables.min.js 65 On Firefox 33.0, which works, the console shows: Use of getPreventDefault() is deprecated. Use defaultPrevented instead. jquery.js:3 window.controllers is deprecated. Do not use it for UA detection. nsHeaderInfo.js:412 Empty string passed to getElementById(). jquery.js 2 -- Bob Ewart On Wed, Dec 3, 2014 Arslan Farooq <arslanone(a)gmail.com> wrote: > Hi guys, > > So, this morning, I noticed that Google Chrome (Windows) did not have the > issue.
