koha sip2 character and connection problem.
by Ahmet Melih Başbuğ 12 Feb '16

12 Feb '16

Hello For our Koha library software, we installed koha SIP2 tool for RFID. In SIPconfig, we configured encode=utf-8 for Turkish characters "ş,ı,ü" etc. It works well at the beggining. However we hear from our customers. In logs, we see result messages of sip2 with errornous characters after configured 5-10 hours. Feb 12 14:35:42 koha-web48 koha_sip[6280]: OUTPUT MSG: '121NNY20160212 143542AO60|AA61375041838|AB106000070188|AJDuygular*?*n dili|AH20160227 235900|AY1AZE6B5' there is "?" in message. it must be "ı" Feb 12 14:35:42 koha-web48 koha_sip[6280]: OUTPUT MSG: '121NNY20160212 143542AO60|AA61375041838|AB106000070188|AJDuygular*ı*n dili|AH20160227 235900|AY1AZE6B5' my config file is; <acsconfig xmlns="http://openncip.org/acs-config/1.0/">  <error-detect enabled="true" />  <server-params min_servers='10' min_spare_servers='5' log_file='Sys::Syslog' syslog_ident='koha_sip' syslog_facility='local6' /> <listeners>  <service port="8023/tcp" transport="telnet" protocol="SIP/2.00" timeout="60" /> <service port="192.168.110.48:6001/tcp" transport="RAW" protocol="SIP/2.00" timeout="60" /> </listeners> <accounts> <login id="sip24" password="test" delimeter="|" error-detect="enabled" institution="24" encoding="utf8"/> </login> </accounts>  <institutions> <institution id="60" implementation="ILS" parms=""> <policy checkin="true" renewal="true" checkout="true" status_update="false" offline="true" timeout="100" retries="5" /> </institution> ... What the connection-corrupt error and character errors can be? what should we do? is it bug? thanks. Ahmet Başbuğ

Biblioitems table
by Shell, Lezlie 11 Feb '16

11 Feb '16

We just imported our collection into our new Koha installation. It went really smoothly. Based on the schema, though, I was expecting to find a sortable call number in biblioitems.cn_sort. Since we don't circulate any materials, I didn't create any items. Is there something I needed to set or map to populate this field when I redo the import? Or, should I just add item information? Thanks, Lezlie Questia

Error framework test
by João Pinto 10 Feb '16

10 Feb '16

Hi Everyone, Is there any possibility to see where are the errors when we use framework test. In this case over the tag, or subfields, so we can correct them. The errors are: itemnum · The field itemnum MUST be mapped · The corresponding subfield MUST be in with -1 (ignore) tab item fields ALL items fields MUST : · be mapped to the same tag, · and they must all be in the 10 (items) tab biblio and biblionumber The biblio.biblionumber and biblioitems.biblioitemnumber fields be mapped to a MARC subfield I had made some changes on the frameworks, but I really don't remember where ( :( bad) . I was searching for a log, or something . I think that the last one it's ok, for UNIMARC, I rad this somewhere. Reporting biblios with no items
by Beda Szukics 10 Feb '16

10 Feb '16

Hello The following report: SELECT biblio.biblionumber, biblio.title FROM biblio LEFT JOIN items ON biblio.biblionumber = items.biblionumber WHERE items.itemnumber IS NULL shows all the biblios with no item. Is there a possibility to expand it so it doesn't show all the _analytic_ records (Sadly those show up too and I want to have a list with all the records witch have no holding information at all).
