How to login using the Koha SIPServer implementation
by Indranil Das Gupta 22 Apr '16

22 Apr '16

Hi all, First off, I'm not really sure if this is the proper forum for this question (Libki mailing list on sf or the github issue tracker may be a better place). Basically, I've been trying to get LibKi working with Koha's SIPServer. I'm linking to the syslog output here - http://pastebin.com/rP9VH5wb >From what I can see, I'm being able to fetch the user credentials correctly and yet I'm not logging in. Some help would be great! thanks in anticipation -idg -- Indranil Das Gupta Phone : +91-98300-20971 Blog : http://indradg.randomink.org/blog IRC : indradg on irc://irc.freenode.net Twitter : indradg -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Please exchange editable Office documents only in ODF Format. Re: [Koha] Report question
by Jorge de Cardenas 21 Apr '16

21 Apr '16

If you are comfortable with Perl, what I do quite often is create in the folder koha\intranet\cgi-bin\test the MyReport.pl that points a template MyReport.tt in koha\htdocs\intranet-tmpl\prog\en\modules\test. This way you can create an input form however you like. MyReport.pl would execute the SQL query and display the results in a table in MyReport.tt. What I do now is usually modify one of my reports when I need a new one. The first time I used one of the existing scripts and slowly modified it until I felt comfortable with the process. Hope this helps. Jorge > >Hi All - I want to set up a SQL report that can take a variable number of the same value. My SQL looks like: > >select >biblionumber, >concat (branchname, ', ', lib) as location, >itemcallnumber, >if(onloan is null,'Available',onloan) onloan >from items,authorised_values,branches >where biblionumber in (<<BIBIDS>>) >and authorised_values.category = 'LOC' >and items.location = authorised_values.authorised_value >and items.homebranch = branches.branchcode > >I want the <<BIBIDS>> value to be able to receive several values when I run the report from the staff client, but I cannot get it to work. Speech Recognition & Synthesis Integration on KOHA OPAC
by Dr. Avaneesh Singh 21 Apr '16

21 Apr '16

Hi All, I am head Librarian at KIIT Group of Colleges. Being an Open source enthusiast, I have implemented KOHA in our Library and also trying to modify / customize it. I was trying to integrate speech recognition (Speech to Text) and speech synthesis (Text to Speech) to KOHA OPAC. I was basically trying to integrate Google Speech API (Links given below), but couldn't make it https://developers.google.com/web/updates/2013/01/Voice-Driven-Web-Apps-Int… https://www.google.com/intl/en/chrome/demos/speech.html https://dvcs.w3.org/hg/speech-api/raw-file/tip/speechapi.html I would highly appriceate if anyone working in this direction could help me out by kindly letting me know how to integrate any speech API's to KOHA OPAC. -- View this message in context: http://koha.1045719.n5.nabble.com/Speech-Recognition-Synthesis-Integration-… Sent from the Koha-general mailing list archive at Nabble.com.

MARC21 XSLT Details Page - 6xx field - Listing subject headings?
by Craig Butosi 20 Apr '16

20 Apr '16

Hi all, Has anyone successfully edited the XSLT stylesheet for the MARC21 details page to list subject headings (i.e., line feed or carriage return)? I'd really prefer a list look to the default inline look, which uses pipe as a separator. If so, would anyone be willing to share a snippet from your XSL file? Many thanks! Koha OAI sets only working for small sets
by Pedro Amorim 20 Apr '16

20 Apr '16

Hello all, I'm using Koha 3.22 with debian packages. I've configured the OAI sets mappings and I'm trying simple sets for the moment, each test set is mapped to a different object type. After running build_oai_sets.pl -v, this is the output I get: Set '6': 335 biblios Set '1': 1 biblios Set '3': 105 biblios Set '2': 15 biblios Set '5': 172 biblios For some reason, it's not indexing the set 4 which should have around 1.2k records. The logs dont show anything related to this issue, I've been diving on the code for oai.pl and Sets.pm looking for maybe some limit on the number of records a set can have but found nothing. Does anyone have any information on this? Has someone tried to configure a medium/large oai set on Koha? Thank you, Pedro Amorim

by SuperThin 20 Apr '16

Hello Everybody, I've created some staffs to training Koha for my colleagues. By default, I used 123456 as password and require they change password when first login time. But, when him/ her clicks "My Account" at top-right of the page when logined, he/ she cannot view own account, Koha redirected him/her to login box with message: /You do not have permission to access this page/ My account is /superlibrarian/ doesn't have this problem. What should I do? Remove the password option in patron attributes
by Jonathan Druart 20 Apr '16

20 Apr '16

Hello everybody, I'd like to get opinion on the password option available in patron attributes. Initially this field was created to allow patrons to use an alternate password to login, but it has never been implemented. I have suggested to remove it on bug 12267 as we don't use it internally and as it's a bad idea to use a password stored in clear text. If you are using this option, please tell us know to discuss the matter. Regards, Jonathan https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=12267
