I would like to restrict access to the Self Checkout to just a single ip address. I believe the Apache mod_authz_host module is the answer but am unsure just how to implement it in a multi-instance set-up. I would appreciate any tips on how to do it. Thank you, Clint Deckard.

Greetings, The instructions are very clear. Open a terminal window $ sudo ls [output cut – will need to type a password] $ echo deb http://debian.koha-community.org/koha stable main | sudo tee /etc/apt/sources.list.d/koha.list [output cut] $ wget -O- http://debian.koha-community.org/koha/gpg.asc | sudo apt-key add - [output cut] $ sudo apt-get update [output cut ] $ sudo apt-get upgrade [output cut – clearly the answer is yes for an initial install] $ sudo apt-get clean [don’t think there is output, but it is cut, if there is any] $ sudo apt-get install koha-common Did any of these commands fail? Is the machine properly networked? The general goal of the Ubuntu package instructions (https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Koha_on_ubuntu_-_packages) was that a cut and paste (except for editing files) of the boxes (they are blue in my browser) should get you a working base install, from which you could tweak the apache settings latter if you wanted to go live to the internet. Perhaps you could explain exactly what steps you are taking? Koha: Wipe Out of Data on Koha Demo Site- reg

I have a query regarding the Demo site of koha, I am using the Demo site of koha on Koha Community website but all my data (Patrons, Libraries, Members etc) wiped out from the server on next day. Running Koha OPAC over SSL breaks GoogleIndicTransliteration syspref function

Hi all, GoogleIndicTransliteration is a nifty Koha feature allowing easy typing and searching in several (mainly Indic) languages to a lot of users from the Indian sub-continent and elsewhere. However, a MIXED CONTENT bug prevents it from working if the OPAC is run over https. It is however a trivial fix and I've filed a bug (id 17103) on the bugzilla with the patch to fix it. Importing record to koha thorugh marcedit

Hi, Records to enter to Koha needs the excel or csv files to be changed in to .mrk and then .mrc format. I used Marcedit for that as in the manual but when i did that, it showed me only one book record. I tried a couple of times and its the same. I am not sure where i am making a mistake.Please help if you can. I have tried full xml export for .xlx also as an Xml file and csv format but none of them are giving me the full records list to be imported to koha. Using perl module Koha::Contrib::Tamil koha-auth

Hello everyone, After importing biblio records, I know need to create authority records from those biblios, and link them respectively. I am using Koha Contrib Tamil perl modules from Frederic Demians http://search.cpan.org/dist/Koha-Contrib-Tamil/ which looks like exactly what I want: 1) Extract authorities from the biblios; 2) Import them in Koha; 3) Link authorities and biblios together. I managed to install the perl module through CPAN and got through steps 1) and 2) fairly quickly, however I am struggling with step 3), as I am having two problems I think: 1) For many biblios, the following message is presented: WARNING: authority not found -- 353.9(469)(094.4) But said authority indeed exists and is indexed. 2) After about 400 biblios processed (I think), it throws this error and it hangs printing "405" forever: *** unhandled exception in callback: *** Quantifier follows nothing in regex; marked by <-- HERE in m/* <-- HERE / at /usr/local/share/perl/5.14.2/Koha/Contrib/Tamil/Authority/LinkBiblioTask.pm line 77. *** ignoring at /usr/local/lib/perl/5.14.2/AnyEvent/Impl/Glib.pm line 166. 405 405 405 ...
