possible bug on Items search fields
by Hugo Agud 15 Sep '16

15 Sep '16

Dear all We have configured items search fields for 952 fields on Koha debian jessy 3.22.7, but it has no effect on filtering, it doesn't matter what type. We have added a couple of 952 fields, but none of them are filtering the results from a search, there is no error on /var/logs/koha... , we have also checked that is not working with bibliographic fields All fields seems to filter fine, except added manually We have not seen any bug in bugzilla, anybody else have seen this behaviour before, before oopen a bug I wish to be sure in order to avoid spam bugs ;) notes: plack enabled (and restarted) notes: same happening with koha 16.05.03 Kindest REgards -- *Hugo Agud - Orex Digital * *www.orex.es <http://www.orex.es>* <http://www.orex.es/> [image: www.orex.es/koha] <http://www.orex.es/koha> [image: www.orex.es/vufind] <http://www.orex.es/vufind> <http://www.orex.es/omeka> Director Calle Sant Joaquin,117, 2º-3ª · 08922 Santa Coloma de Gramanet - Tel: 933 856 138 hagud(a)orex.es · http://www.orex.es/ No imprima este mensaje a no ser que sea necesario. I downloaded the file and uploaded it to the correct folder Next errormessage: AH01215: (2)No such file or directory: exec of '/usr/share/koha/intranet/cgi-bin/tools/upload-file-progress.pl The uploads directory has the correct rights and is located in /var/lib/koha/biblio/uploads no plack or memcache running on the server can someone please help me out?

gather_print_notices.pl and page breaks
by Magnus Enger 14 Sep '16

14 Sep '16

Dear Community, I have a couple customers who use gather_print_notices.pl to - gather up messages for patrons without email - format the messages as HTML - send them to the library email to be printed and snail-mailed This works OK, except the messages are printed as running text, without a page break between them. Has anyone figured out a solution to this? I have tried to start the contents of the messages with something like this: <p style="display: block; page-break-before: always;">...</p> but that does not seem to work. Anyone got a working solution? Best regards, Magnus Enger Libriotech

Hackfest in Marseille = last call to register !
by Paul Poulain 13 Sep '16

13 Sep '16

Hello Koha ! A reminder: the hackfest in Marseille will take place in a few weeks (oct 10th - 14th), it's time to register !!!! *How to register*: drop me an email *What can I do at the hackfest*: anything useful for the Koha community : testing, documenting, learning, teaching, discovering,... *How much does it cost*: it's free (just count 15€ per lunch, we organize it. Veggie welcomed) *Who will I meet*: almost everyone active in the community (chris, we miss you): 20+ librarians. Some great developers (random order, sorry if I forgot some) Owen, Brendan, Tomas, Mirko, Katrin, Magnus, Jonathan. The people from Koha Gruppo Italiano who convince Ebsco to fund us every year. All BibLibre staff, 5 of ByWaterSolutions staff, 2 of ptfs-europe staff, "Wow, that's a lot of people !" Yes, we have already 54 registrations. But don't worry, this year, we have an additional room just next door that can welcome 12-16 persons, so we still have some empty seats! -- Paul Poulain, Associé-gérant / co-owner BibLibre, Services en logiciels libres pour les bibliothèques BibLibre, Open Source software and services for libraries

Different search results depending on how we limit the item type
by Coehoorn, Joel 12 Sep '16

12 Sep '16

If I search our catalog for "eating disorders" <http://koha.york.edu/cgi-bin/koha/opac-search.pl?q=eating+disorders>, I get 894 results. Most of these are eBooks available through various subscriptions or licensing agreements. Now if I want to limit my search to real, physical books in our library, I see two ways to do this in the interface: 1. Look for the "Item Types" section in the side bar on the left and click the link for "Books" this produces something very close to what we want with 25 results at the following address: http://koha.york.edu/cgi-bin/koha/opac-search.pl?idx=kw&q=eating%20disorder… Note the itype:BK option in the URL. 2. Advanced Search, use the same keyword, and click the checkbox next to "Books" in the Item Type section below. That leads to the following address; http://koha.york.edu/cgi-bin/koha/opac-search.pl?idx=kw&q=eating+disorders&… Note the "mc-itemtype,phr:BK" in the decoded URL. It produces only two results, both of which happen to be children's books. There is a separate checkbox option for children's books/Juvenile on the advanced search page, so we really wouldn't want to see either of these results in the search here. But more importantly, why don't we see the other 23 records? What do we need to do so that itype:BK comes out the same as mc-itemtype,phr:BK?
