Intranet error after upgrade

Hello, I recently upgraded my library to the following and didn't notice any errors during the upgrade. Koha version: 17.11.01.000 OS version ('uname -a'): Linux ip-172-31-36-26 4.4.0-109-generic #132-Ubuntu SMP Tue Jan 9 19:52:39 UTC 2018 x86_64 Perl version: 5.022001 MySQL version: mysql Ver 15.1 Distrib 10.0.33-MariaDB, for debian-linux-gnu (x86_64) using readline 5.2 Apache version: Server version: Apache/2.4.18 (Ubuntu) Memcached: Servers: undefined Zebra version: Zebra 2.0.59 However, when I tried to access the Intranet (https://library.sj.org.za:8080) Chrome gives an 'Err empty response'. I tried it in Safari and got a similar message. But I can see the OPAC (https://library.sj.org.za/) just fine. On the localhost I can access the Intranet (using lynx), which made me think perhaps the problem is with Apache to the outside? But Apache is running. Dear KOHA Community, By way of introducing myself I am a senior Library Officer at the Central Bank of Malta and at the moment we are exploring KOHA library system to see if it fits for our needs and purposes. Currently we have OLIB from OCLC as our Library system but we would like to explore other systems. At the moment I am doing some tests in a DEMO environment and I would like to know if there is a user friendly way to Catalogue new items where MARC tags do not necessary appear. Koha 17.11 popup windows

Working with 17.11 (after upgrading from 3.22 or some other earlier version, which version I cannot recall), in several places windows pop up unexpectedly. 1. Our librarian noticed this when she went to check a book out for a student. A window pops up called "Leave a message". The window cannot be closed. See the following screenshot: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ywtq2366hizpxsz/screencapture-check-out-popup.png… 2. The same thing happens when going to the saved SQL reports. I saw there were saved reports that needed updating (I see https://github.com/Koha-Community/Koha/commit/f22d2e7200ee8b35aff66b26acc3e…) so I did that, but the popup window continues. It shows "Loading" and a turning wheel that never stops. The window cannot be closed. I was wondering whether this behavior is related and whether I may have missed a step in upgrading the database. We can still use Koha, but the popup windows are annoying. Has anyone else experienced this and solved it? Daniel

SQL help - Bulk Card Number modification

Hi, With Koha 16.11.11 / Package Installation/ Ubuntu 14.04 Desktop with MySQL - mysql Ver 14.14 Distrib 5.5.57 We use, students' register number as card number for circulation. And regarding bulk 'card number' modifications : I have a situation, where, first semester borrowers will only get 'permanent register number' during the time of examinations. Till that, I should manage borrowers' circulation with 'temporary card number' (assigned by me). After receiving 'permanent register number from the college office, I have to replace 'temporary number' by 'permanent card number'. Going editing/modifying each patron one by one is very tedious and time consuming, therefore, Is there any way I could use sql and some kind of script to replace card number?
