Hi, I'm not sure if this a bug, or merely an observation, but I think it's worth noting. A colleague drew my attention to a reader who, according to the circulation history tab on their patron record, returned 5 books at one of our self-service stations at 2am this morning. The problem being we close at 10pm. Nobody thinks the reader broke into the library specifically to return overdue books. The more mundane solution was that somehow, the clock on the self-service station PC was set 12 hours fast. Looking at the circulation log, the books were returned at 2pm yesterday. Querying the statistics table for the reader's borrower number also comes up with books being returned yesterday at 2pm. Doing the same for the old_issues table comes up the books being returned at 2am this morning. So it's possible for the statistics and old_issues tables to show different return dates on books; statistics datetime seems to come from the Koha server, but old_issues returndate seems to come from the date/time on the local machine. The reader's books were overdue, but we have a one day grace period before fines are incurred - these fines come from the books being returned today at 2am after being due on the 11th - so fine information seems to come from the return date on the local machine. I am a humble librarian who may be completely wrong about this, but shouldn't the return date on both tables come from the same place and fines be generated from the server time, not the local machine? Problem after the importation of the initial settings of Koha

Dear Koha users, I am willing to test Koha, because we are probably installing it at the library, so I installed it at my own computer. I use Ubuntu as the primary operating system.I followed the instructions DP Tripathi gives at his channel called Library guide. I didn't have problems with that. The problem comes when in the web installer after I tell Firefox (the browser I am doing the importation) to do the importation.the messages are these:DBIx::Class::Storage::DBI::_dbh_execute(): Duplicate entry '46-10' for key 'PRIMARY' at /usr/share/koha/lib/Koha/SearchField.pm line 39 DBIx::Class::Storage::DBI::_dbh_execute(): Duplicate entry '373-64' for key 'PRIMARY' at /usr/share/koha/lib/Koha/SearchField.pm line 39 Thank you in advance.Paula GutiérrezLibrarian

upgrading from koha 3.0/debian lenny to koha 18/ubuntu 16

Hi I am upgrading from koha 3.0.2 to a latest supported version. My present koha installation is koha version 3.0 installed in Debian Lenny In the new installation on another machine I have loaded ubuntu 16 and installed the latest version of koha 18. I took the backup of koha from debian. Restored the database in the new installation of koha 18 in ubuntu16. Then upgraded the database schema and run zebra-rebuld indexing. which run successfully. ACQUISITION ERROR

Hi great ones, we are using koha 18.05.06 running on ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS. the database is mysql ver14.14 Distrib 5.7.24, when i create a vendor from "New Vendor" and save. afterwards, from "search vendor" when i search for the vendor i just created, the search return "Your Search returned no results" . this means that the vendor i just created and saved is not in the database. please what can i do? quotation marks not displaying correctly

Quotation marks in our catalogue are displaying strangely. I don't know how long it's been going on (we don't have many records with quotation marks). We're running 18.11 Here's an example Fiddle tune history : "bad" tunes It should read Fiddle tune history : "bad" tunes https://catalogue.efdss.org/cgi-bin/koha/opac-detail.pl?biblionumber=78890 I've cleared the cache, updated Chrome and also tested it in Firefox. Still there. Here's the strange part - if I go in and edit out the " and put in proper quotation marks, and save it, it seems to stick. However, if I open the record for editing, even if I don't touch any fields, it changes back to " It also happens to quotation marks in other fields, not just the title. I couldn't find a bug reported for this, so I'm wondering if anyone else has seen this happen, or if it might be some internal problem? ERROR IN ACQUISITION MODULE

Hi Great ones, I am using koha 18.05 running on ubuntu 18.04 and database is Mysql ver 14.14 Distrib 5.7.24. I am trying to set up the acquisition module. i have set a library budget and created funds. afterwards, when i create a vendor and save. i now go to manage orders to search for the vendor i just created. the error seen below pops up. please how do i resolve this? thanks in advance. Cannot open OPAC

I installed Koha 18.11 on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS. I can open the staff client but I am getting the Apache 2 default page for OPAC. I am using port 80 for OPAC.
