OPAC Main User Block not updating content

Greetings all, I have a strange problem with the Koha OPAC Main User Block. I have removed the OPAC Main User Block content using the HTML customization block, edited it but doesn't change anything when I go back to the page. I have restarted Koha services, Koha-plack, cleared Koha cache, cleared my browser cache and nothing seems to work. When I inspect the Koha OPAC page, I see this what is below. It looks like there is some static content and I don't know where and how to edit it. Hi, all! For anyone who might have been following this thread, Paul and I got together in a screen-sharing session for the following resolution: ISSUE 1: Slow performance DIAGNOSIS 1: Plack not running; enable Plack (credit M. Kuhn) ISSUE 2: Plack cannot be enabled DIAGNOSIS 2: Plack directives (Include statements) missing from OPAC and Intranet sections of Apache config (/etc/apache2/sites-enabled/{instancename}.conf) RESOLUTION: Manually insert Include statements in each section; restart Apache P.S. If I'm not mistaken, the Plack directives are normally included with the default Apache config file – but commented out, disabling Plack.

Paul, I'm sorry that I didn't proofread the commands that I suggested. Anytime you see or execute the "koha-" commands, the particular name of the intended Koha instance, e.g. "library" should be substituted. It seems that in your case (and ours), those would be: $ sudo koha-disable *library* $ sudo a2enmod rewrite cgi headers proxy_http $ sudo systemctl restart apache2 $ sudo koha-plack --disable *library* $ sudo koha-plack --enable *library* $ sudo systemctl restart apache2 $ sudo systemctl restart koha-common $ sudo systemctl status koha-common Crucially, the grep results for your Apache site config do not have "Include" directives that load Plack. Start perhaps with those Plack commands in the middle of the list above and work your way down again. See if that changes anything.

Hi Paul, it doesn't look like the series of commands you issued are exact matches for those given at https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Koha_on_Debian. Specifically, there are some Apache modules that your list of commands suggest may not have been enabled. The Wiki specifies: $ sudo a2enmod rewrite cgi headers proxy_http In your list, only 'rewrite' and 'cgi' were enabled. The command "sudo apachectl -M" will list your loaded modules. I'm not expert enough to say whether or not the others are needed for Plack. Additionally, you should check the status of Perl modules in the staff interface under "About Koha" > "Perl modules". If your Perl module list is complete and up to date, then I might be inclined to do the following: $ sudo koha-disable library $ sudo a2enmod rewrite cgi headers proxy_http $ sudo systemctl restart apache2 $ sudo koha-plack --disable libraryname $ sudo koha-plack --enable libraryname $ sudo systemctl restart apache2 $ sudo systemctl restart koha-common $ sudo systemctl status koha-common If Plack has been enabled and started, you should see a line to that effect with the last command (and in the "Server information" screen of "About Koha"): koha-common[12684]: Starting Plack daemon for library:.
