21.05 release candidate available for testing on sandboxes

Hello everybody, The 21.05 should be released at the end of next week. We don't expect much changes on the master branch so it is the perfect moment to catch remaining bugs or even test your favourite new features :) To make testing easier you can use the new sandboxes server BibLibre provided us: https://sandboxes.biblibre.eu So far it is only available for testing master, I've created 7 sandboxes using the latest version (note that Elastic search is the default search engine). Important to highlight as well, I picked (a couple of hours ago) the translations for all the languages we have on pootle, and they are all installed on those sandboxes (you just need to modify the 'languages' and OPACLanguages systempreferences). That KohaRest driver looks interesting! I haven't dug into it too deeply, but how do you handle the user/patron authentication? Do you have the user log into VuFind and at that point you use the backend confidential client user to validate it via your plugin API endpoint? Have you thought about using SSO between VuFind and Koha? I suppose even then you'd still have to do a user lookup against Koha unless there is an attribute/claim containing their borrowernumber... I'd love to see the core REST API replace the ILS-DI API for discovery services... Hi, I changed the date to the format in the "dateformat" to dd.mm.yyy more when I generate the user card with <dateexpirt> the format yyy.mm.dd still appears How to set the date in dd.mm.yyy format for expiration in the cards? Thanks, Victor

The release is scheduled for around the 24th/25th. **If you missed it the upcoming 21.05 release is translatable now.** This means it's the right time to head over to the translation platform: https://translate.koha-community.org/projects/ Reminder: if you add or change a translation in version 19.11, then you must also copy it to 20.05, 20.11 and 21.05. Hi, String freeze is into effect today 🥶 The 20.11.x maintenance branch is preparing for 20.11.06 release 📦 The release is scheduled for around the 25. This means it's the right time to head over to the translation platform: https://translate.koha-community.org/projects/ Note that nl-NL translation for 20.11 was very low, I've ask them to be reinitialized with merge of files from 19.11. Translation is now around 70%.
