Cover flow problem

Dear all, We just migrated to Koha several months ago. I have difficulty displaying cover flow. I followed some instructions about it, including from Bywater Solutions ( https://bywatersolutions.com/education/using-lists-to-populate-your-coverfl…) or https://libpowertech.blogspot.com/2019/06/how-to-koha-opac-new-arrivals-boo… with no luck. Hi, all! Is there a way to show bibliographic records for works when all the items have been hidden in the OPAC? Time to translate: string freeze to prepare Koha 20.05.13 has begun

Hi, saluton, hola, bonjour, String freeze is into effect as of now for the 20.05.x maintenance branch. The minor release is scheduled for around the 22th. This means it's the right time to head over to the translation platform: https://translate.koha-community.org/projects/ Reminder: if you add or change a translation in version 20.05, then you must also copy it to 20.11 and 21.05. Koha wiki update/replacement

Hello Koha community! There has been discussion about updating or replacing the wiki (https://wiki.koha-community.org) The software behind the current wiki is out of date and we need to upgrade it. Or we could replace it with something more lightweight or more user-friendly. The current wiki is a gold mine of information, but that good information is hard to find. This email is an attempt to start a conversation about the best plan of action to upgrade our wiki. The main argument for changing is that the MediaWiki version we are using is obsolete. - Should we continue with a more recent version of MediaWiki or change the software? It has been argued that maybe MediaWiki is a bit to complex for our needs. DokuWiki (https://www.dokuwiki.org/dokuwiki) was cited as an option, but it's apparently too light and one needs to learn the special syntax. - If we change the software, do you have a suggestion? Some have suggested that we simply archive the current wiki and start fresh with a new one. - Would you be in favor of starting over? I'm sure I'm forgetting things, but my hope is only to get the ball rolling and that this project does not fall in the cracks once again. If you have any suggestion, comment, or concern about this project, please voice them by replying to this email. Reinstall Koha

As I reported earlier on 6/14/21 at 4:54pm, I updated Koha from 20.11 to 21.05 and it had errors. I tried Mr. Citali C.S.'s suggestions and it didn't work. Right now I'm down. This is my personal library. I have another installation at 20.11.03 which I am afraid to update. This is a library which is in use daily. Is there any way I can dump my own library and install the current stable version then re-add my items? -- Bob Ewart

OPAC Hidden Items (OPACHiddenItems) and NOT_LOAN

Hello, all! Is there a way to hide in the OPAC items that the library owns but does not want to show? The item is not lost or withdrawn; and the itemtype is used for an actual item type, e.g., album, book, serial. I've been experimenting with NOT_LOAN (formerly LOANABILITY) but putting a value for 5 ('Staff desk copy') in the 952 $7. My library is assigned with the tracking (acquisition, inventory, withdrawal, etc.) of some works it buys, but it doen't want to show those copies in the OPAC. I cannot find the proper variable (for want of the proper word) that works with OPACHiddenItems comparable to lost, loc, ccode, etc. I have tried not_loan and notloan, but neither works. Koha on VPS?

Good morning I am setting up a new instance of Koha on my own server, a VPS situation with Debian 10. I have gone through the steps, edited /etc/koha/koha-sites.conf and have tried to experiment with editing /etc/hosts, but to no avail. I have also set up a subdomain with the place that manages my DNS and have looked all over the webs for examples of doing what I am trying to do. No success yet I could use a little guidance. Upgrading Koha >> several versions

Hi all, I'm currently running a couple different versions of Koha, and I'm going to try and do a mass upgrade to the newest version this summer. Koha version: 17.11.18.000 OS version ('uname -a'): Linux Pine 3.16.0-4-686-pae #1 SMP Debian 3.16.51-3 (2017-12-13) i686 I'm sure my servers/versions are going to require a database dump / restore, and maybe a copy / migration of my "site" files as well. Is there a "step by step" how-to document anywhere ? Something with small words and pictures would be perfect for me .😬 Thank you. -S
