This data was managed with a simple db (microsoft works), and contain rather minimal data, like: 1) title 2) author 3) publisher 3) the series title (first volume, second volume, ...) 4) a field that can be considered like an item type 5) the ``location'', that i think i can consider like a branches With this simple list of books i can fill the koha database and start using it quickly?! Koha 1.2.3 installation problem

I've followd the procedure in the INSTALL text to the point of having a virtual server opac.konsultex.com.br and have copied the files to the right places, apparently. But something is still missing from my setup. Hi guys, I need to store some info from a MARC tag 110 ( Main Entry -- Corporate name ). I've been thinking about adding some fields to Koha 1.2.3 vanilla db to store it. I was thinking about the biblio table? Can anyone think of a better place to put the data? Existing or non existing? Database Accessing

Okay.. with koha 1.2.2 i can do selects using tables... like biblio, borrowers.. i.e virtually using the structure as shown in koha.mysql - the file that creates the inital structure. With koha 1.9.0+, Will i still be able to access the dbase using the exact same select statements? or will it be more difficult to custom build my sql queries? Importing Data

The question I have is, what type of organization should I have the CSV file and how should I import it? The first question, to be a bit more specific, is what data should go in what order in the CSV file? Is there a certain format I should use? The second question being should I somehow try to import the CSV directly into MySQL (IIRC there is a way to do this, although I've always stuck to using SQL format for inputting stuff) or can I some how get Koha to process my file? As I believe I mentioned before, currently I have a script that breaks apart the old library program's proprietary data format and then spews out what it gets into some other format.
