koha to opac map?

Hi Koha people! I moved to a Debian box and did an upgrade to 2.2.1. I'm testing my Koha mapping before I load my OCLC records. Now, I think I finally understand the Koha-to-MARC mapping ;) but what I would *really* like to understand is the Koha-to-OPAC mapping! Trying the different opac themes suggests that people map different Koha fields to the columns displayed in the opac. I made a page showing my bizarre results in the 3 themes: NPL, CSS, and Default, at http://www.secondhandknowledge.net/koha.html Now, I know I must have some Koha-MARC mappings wrong (call number, for example). (You will see that I just typed some made-up numbers in for the call numbers for now--I'm really not a bad cataloger!) But I'll figure that out. Despite that, it would be really helpful if someone (Steve?) would tell me which MARc fields/Koha fields fill which columns in the NPL opac display. (in other words, explain how it's done at Nelsonville). Would you write up a little something, like: ----------------------------------------------------------- Title | Author | Call number |Copies | Available at ----------------------------------------------------------- 245a 100a ... biblio.title biblio.author ... etc. for each of the display screens? And maybe include a MARC record printout so we can see what your local fields are (barcodes, call #s). Hi, I am the "librarian" for a group of building surveyors in New Zealand, and considering using Koha to organise our rapidly growing library of electronic material. Would it be relatively easy to customise it so members found a link on the page with the description (perhaps where Horowhenua has their "Place Reserve" button?) to enable them to download the file once they have searched it out? Problem selecting title in OPAC view

Hi there, I am trialing the Koha software currently and have entered half a dozen biblio entries and a few members. In the intranet/librarian version all seems to look ok. I switched to the OPAC view, did a keyword search and retrieved 4 items. When I clicked on the title link of any of them I then got this error message: -------------------------------------------------------- Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the server administrator and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error. More information about this error may be available in the server error log. Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. ------------------------------------------------------- I did indeed contact the IT person who had installed the program for me to trial but his response was that he took a quick look and couldn't solve it (an installation bug he thinks?) and that I may get a better response from this list since he is no expert and doesn't want to become one currently in case we decide not to use Koha.
