Help with import/export

A couple of fields from my InMagic database did not import into Koha. How can I restore this information? I'd also like to have a field linked to a barcode that would be a unique identifier for a document. However, there is nowhere in the item fields (Tab 10) to allow this that I can see. Can I import this information from a SQL database and hook it to a record? Or do I need to re-export and import all my records with a complete overhaul of the Marc structure? Thanx. Z39.50

Hello Koha users!, When performing Z39.50 searches my Koha is not searching the servers I've placed in my server list. I've gone over the guides available and do not see a specific setting I'm missing. The window pops up properly, but repeatedly shows my Koha machine's ip as the search source and never goes to the net. Anyone have a tip? Thanks ahead of time! Joe

Problem with issues after trying to setup issue rules...

Hello friends, We have been happily using Koha for most of this school year at our little college library here in Flint, Michigan. We are using Koha 2.2.5 on Fedora Core 3. It has been going quite well, until I started messing with the issuing rules last week. The librarian was doing all the calculation of overdue fines by hand, and I knew Koha must have a utility for automating that process, so I began to play around with the "Issue Rules" page in Parameters, which to that point was totally empty. I attempted to fill in the fields for the different types of books and the different types of borrowers. All of a sudden no matter what kind of book or what kind of borrower, I began to get an error message upon issuing every book that says: "I need confirmation before issuing! Too many issues! (Already issued/ max: a 0/0) Confirm issue? don't issue?" Additionally, the program no longer assumed that the book's due date was three weeks from today, but assumed it is due tomorrow, and the correct due date must be selected for every book! (Librarian very upset over this one!) I decided it was better before I started playing around with things, so I deleted all issuing rules, making every field empty, as before, trying to restore it to the previous state of (mostly) bliss. Unfortunately, we still are getting the described warning message with every issue, and still have to manually enter the correct due date for every book, which is totally unacceptable to the librarian, because it takes her three times as long to issue each book. Is there a fix for this (aside from banning me from the library?) Thanks and blessings be upon thee if you can save me from this mess! Les

Hi everyone, I've been testing Koha in Redhat 4 Enterprise ES (update 2). Installation going well. But I have a little problem when executing z3950-daemon-launch.sh it's appear a message: This account is currently not available. I'm not very familiar with latest Redhat environment. z3950-daemon-launch error

Hi, I read another post about this but it didn't solve my problem. I've setup Koha on Centos4- everything works fine, and I've added some z39.50 servers to the list & confirmed they are being contacted by using the 'processz3950queue' script. However, whenever I try to launch the z3950-daemon-launch.sh I receive this message: This account is currently not available In my z3950-daemon-options file, I have apache listed as the user (which corresponds to the user used by the webserver). If I use another local user then it still doesn't run with the same error. Is there a specific user I need to create in order for this to work? Hi, Cátia! If you can read French, I recommend reading the Koha documwntation in French. Sometimes is more detailed than the English one.
