C4 Data base issue

After loading the initial page I get this error (see below). I see that this posted before...does anyone have a way to solve it ? Can't locate C4/Auth.pm in @INC (@INC contains: /etc/perl /usr/local/lib/perl/5.8.4 /usr/local/share/perl/5.8.4 /usr/lib/perl5 /usr/share/perl5 /usr/lib/perl/5.8 /usr/share/perl/5.8 /usr/local/lib/site_perl .) at opac-main.pl line 7. BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at opac-main.pl line 7.

Apache default page

Hello folks. I'm brand new, and just successfully finished setting up KoHa on a Macintosh running 10.4 Tiger. When at the koha computer, I open a web page and type http://localhost and up pops the opac main page just like it should. However, accessing from a remote machine with http://172.16.1.11 brings up the Apache default page. To test locally, I went to the koha machine and double-checked the IP address, which is correctly 172.16.1.11, then tried http://172.16.1.11 right at the koha machine, and up came the Apache default page. Switching to the loopback IP, though, http://127.0.0.1 brings up KoHa. I even tried: http://172.16.1.11/cgi-bin/koha/opac-main.pl at the koha machine and got the "Not Found" response. So, it seems there is a setting in Apache that I missed. Any help, or pointing me in the right direction to help myself, would be greatly appreciated.

Intall problem

Hello people I tried to install Koha. After setting up all the perl modules and answering the questions about ports etc. the script stops at: INSTALLING FILES Copying files to installation directories:Copying admin templates to /usr/local/koha/intranet/htdocs. Copying admin interface to /usr/local/koha/intranet/cgi-bin. Copying main scripts to /usr/local/koha/intranet/scripts. I waited for 15 minutes but nothing happends. Any suggestions? My computer runs SuSE 10.0 Thank you Beda

You could try making a directory named C4 in /etc/perl/usr/local/lib/perl/5.8.4. and copying Database.pm to it. I had a similar problem with Context.pm which is located in a C4 directory under the Koha directory when running bulkmarcimport.pl. I don't know why Koha cannot seem to locate it in its own directory structure. I copied it and I no longer get the error, but I am now getting a different error and I have no idea whether it is because Context.pm is located in a different place. Salvete! I also can't stress this enough - check with your local libraries, even if you aren't a member of the local consortium, so that you can reserve a code. That way, if you do want to join or help them, your barcodes will be the proscribed type and range. Cheers, Brooke @ Hinsdale MA
