Hi. When the catalog in the admin mode pulls up the summary search results, the display is placing the first 500 note in place of the 300b information. So I end up with 14 p. : Cover title ; 28 cm. Ubuntu/Debian: hosting and root access

Dear Koha users and developers I am new to Koha, in fact haven't even downloaded it yet. I will be using Ubuntu set up a test server (6.0.6 LAMP LTS) although the live installation will probably be on a Debian box. I have some questions: I will need to host the system on a server outside my LAN. I'd like it to be on the same server that hosts our web site. I doubt that our service provider will give me root access to their web server though. Is it strictly necessary? Also, it should be fine if I manage the database conversion using the test setup and then move it over to the Debian system shouldn't it? I mean, the database won't change from that surely? You advice appreciated. koha on debian etch 4.0

I recently installed koha sucessfully on debian etch 4.0. However, I was unable to start the mysql service and restart apache. Koha on etch - a pain?

Hello people Has somebody succeeded in running a koha-2.2.9 recently installed on etch? My problem: I can't add new biblios. I had posted some of my problems before. Now I thougt I'd start again from the buttom up. I deleted the koha-database in MySQL did a rm -r /usr/lokal/koha and installed koha again. Koha MARC fields 090 $c, $d and 952 $u

I am just another newbie, so here goes? During the test phase of finding a replacement ILS, I found KOHA!! YEA!! It is load on a Windows XP Box with Apache 2.2.4, MYSQL 5.0.45, ActivePerl 5.8.8 (Build 822) and KOHA 2.2.8. After exporting the MARCs record from our old ILS (Athena) and then fixing them with (MARCeditor) They were seccessfully imported into KOHA with the bulkload utility. I decided at some point to Dump the records with the KOHA export function to see if there were any problems: As you can see by the attached sample records, the 090 $c / $d tag and the 952 $u show a problem. Koha asigned the same number to to different Books (952$u19849). It also cause the 090 $c and $d fields to go out of sync. Not sure if the maters or not. I looked at the Database and found that this happened five/six times in 39000 records.
