how to save or export complete list of all the books

Hello, Just wanted get some idea how do I go about printing a complete list of books in the library catalog (with at least the title, author, call number) from Koha (using 3.0). If the list can be exported in some sort of database file (e.g. Base in OOo (preferred), or in Excel format), it would be great. Thanks, ->HS

Hi, The Koha developers will be holding a meeting on the #koha IRC channel on Friday, 12 September 2008 at 19:00 UTC. The agenda is currently: 1. Confirm the release manager, translation manager, and documentation manager for Koha 3.2. Each of these positions has one candidate at present: Release Manager: Galen Charlton, LibLime Translation Manager: Chris Cormack, Catalyst Documentation Manager: Nicole Engard, LibLime, 2. Decide on the release maintainer for Koha 3.0 The two candidates are currently Joshua Ferraro (LibLime) and Henri-Damien Laurent (BibLibre). 3. Discuss options for filling the position of QA manager for 3.2. 4. Discuss the features planned for Koha 3.2. All Koha users, developers, and other interested parties are welcome to attend. Urgent 2.2.6 to 2.2.9 upgrade help

Listers, I am in the small developing nation of the Cook Islands upgrading a Koha 2.2.6 server to 2.2.9. I was not feeling comfortable with the 3.0 so I thought it safer to go with 2.2.9 - especially since I only am in the country for a few days and there is no local expertise. The server is debian etch. Now, I have run the koha.upgrade script, which complained a little bit but completed successfully. Everything seemed to be working fine as I tested all of the opac screens one by one, but when i turned to the staff screens, I received 500 errors when I issue a book, add a borrower, and view a borrower's details. The error log reports that circulation.pl, memberentry.pl, and moremember.pl get "Premature end of script headers". Which reminds me of when I write perl cgis on Windows and then load them on a linux server without fixing the line feeds. It is possible that other scripts have this problem as well. I have only about 48 hours left to work on this problem and I do not even know where to begin diagnosing the problem. Please help! Guided Reports - HTML output to the screen - download error

advice about basics of library management

Hello, I am helping a community center set up their library on Koha. Can somebody suggest some reading material or websites which gently introduce basics of managing a very small library (around 1000 or so books)? It will be much appreciated. What they are doing now is: 1. Search a book on Z39.50 servers and import the data if they find it. 2. If they don't, then they just want to enter the data manually. The second step is where they are not sure how to go about doing it. They have their list of book written in a notebook for now. They have their own call numbers as well. What they really want is to know which minimum fields to fill in while entering a catalog item in Koha. And if they find the book on Z39.50 search, they would prefer to use their own call numbers and not Library of Congress'. I am not familiar with library systems, hence my request for help here. Hi All - I've been snooping around in the make_spellcheck_suggest.pl perl script and I've developed a few questions. Looks like the script was originally written for Koha 2.4 CVS and hasn't quite been updated yet. I've been working my way through updating the script (I'm on perl 5.10 and koha 3.1). Ok, my question is (or if someone has a better recommendation of a different path I should be chasing or working towards developing) Could someone lead me to the new mysql database tables for marc_word (or another equivalent) and correct me if I am wrong but I am equating "marc_subfield_table" with the newer mysql table marc_subfield_structure (plus i need to change subfieldvalue to either tagfield or tagsubfield). Below is the current part of the script that I am referencing, " my $query_words = "SELECT DISTINCT word, COUNT(word) FROM marc_word"; my $query_marc_subfields = "SELECT DISTINCT subfieldvalue, COUNT(subfieldvalue) FROM marc_subfield_table"; my $query_titles = "SELECT DISTINCT title, COUNT(title) FROM biblio GROUP BY title"; my $query_authors = "SELECT DISTINCT author, COUNT(author) FROM biblio GROUP BY author"; " I do have the fuzzy searching set for my opac --> but I am just looking a little bit more (and some of my searches dealing with these "spellcheck" suggestions are working - you can see that I have got it to populate some information in mysql database). regarding Z3950 searching

Dear Member, when i am searching through z3950 ...its not retrieving any result. When i did force install ...it gives me following results and in Aboutkoha>perl modules showing that Z3950::ZOOM is installed. but why my Z3950 searching is not working???? Earlier I got error during installation of Email::Date and DBD::mysql cpan modules so I forcelly instlled these packeges.
