Zebra Search - Availability

I'm running Koha 3.00.01 on Suse 11.1 with Zebra. Normal search is fine and the shows the books and the number of copies available: like: Availability: Copies available: HS Library (1), but when I then 'Refine your search' and limit to currently available items' then I get: No Result found ! (if you want to check http://koha.kis.in ) Problem with indexing in Zebra? Any idea what to do? Rudy Wuthrich Kodaikanal International Schhool

Inserting image on OpacNav

Hello, Has anyone tried inserting an image in OpacNav in System Preferences? I've been trying to insert some image on it but it still doesn't show. I've already put the image file in every folder of the directory en and I've even hosted the image on a host but still no show. Is it really not possible to insert images in the navigation? I was actually planing on inserting a flash animation on it. I really need some help please.

I'm going to put in a ME Too to agree with Eric. The new site is lovely. However, the site really needs to be vendor independent or small libraries are going to turn away under the impression that they need to use a vendor to install and use the software. As for contributions, I think Eric is correct that contributions by a paid company should be attributed to the people who actually paid for them. Perhaps something that states the contribution was paid for by ... and programming/development by ... One quick CSS fix...the documentation link in the top tabs overruns the right hand line. Thanx. Hi Franck I have installed all these componests as intructed. perl-XML-SAX perl-XML-SAX-Base perl-XML-SAX-Expat perl-XML-LibXML I really need your help.. i couldnt install XML::LibXSLT and encountered error when i ran this command "zebrasrv-2.0 -f /etc/koha/koha-conf.xml" Error message "zebrasrv-2.0: Option -f unsupported since YAZ is compiled without Libxml2 support" Error message "CPAN.pm: Going to build P/PA/PAJAS/XML-LibXSLT-1.68.tar.gz running xslt-config... ok looking for -lxslt... no libxslt not found Try setting LIBS and INC values on the command line Or get libxslt and libxml2 from http://www.libxml.org/ If you install via RPMs, make sure you also install the -devel RPMs, as this is where the headers (.h files) are. Yet you'll need to adapt it slightly, especially because not all packages are available in CentOS repository. Add rpmforge yum repository [See http://www.ultranetsolutions.com/CentOS-5-install-rpmforge-yum-repo.html Or http://wiki.centos.org/AdditionalResources/Repositories/RPMForge ] The most tedious part is installation of Perl required packages. When it fails to install using cpan you can try to install the rpm instead. Make sure to install perl-XML-SAX-Expat as there is an issue with perl-XML-SAX with wide characters I installed successfully idzebra 2.0-2.0.32 and yaz 3.0.32-1 from http://ftp.indexdata.dk/pub/zebra/redhat/fc6/ and http://ftp.indexdata.dk/pub/yaz/redhat/fc6/ At the end of installation, you need to create a symbolic link from /usr/bin/zebraidx to /usr/bin/zebraidx-2.0 and from /usr/bin/zebrasrv to /usr/bin/zebrasrv-2.0 and to install daemon (http://libslack.org/daemon/) Otherwise you won't be able to use the start/stop scripts installed in /usr/share/koha/bin. Digital Archive Development

I'd like to suggest that those of us with some free time on our hands might like to keep a loose watch on the DSpace and Fedora-Commons Projects. Those two development efforts are working on digital archives, and they seem to have a lot of active, progressive development that might be of interest to the Koha group. There's been discussions recently on how to improve Koha community exchanges, especially between librarians and developers. It has been decided to use bugs.koha.org in order to gather user enhancement demands. And then came up the issue to find a way to select demands which will effectively be developed.
