Where is /installer/install.pl
by Agron Selimaj 21 Aug '09

21 Aug '09

Hi, I installed koha 3.00.02.012, configured apache, but when I want to browse to intranet/cgi-bin/mainpage.pl or about.pl I am taken to /installer/install.pl. I Get "HTTP 404 - File not found" for it. Also, I thought if I create the 'koha' database, '#make install' was going to build all the tables and indexes for me!!! the Koha database is empty. -- Thank you, //Agron

loading circulations into Koha
by Erik Lewis 21 Aug '09

21 Aug '09

Is there a way to load checkouts/issues, renewals, checkins, and holds/ reserve into koha 3.03? Got 2 reasons for wanting to do this. 1) Need to see how feasible it is to migrate this data from our old system, and 2) I'd like a large chunk of circ data to play with retrieving of statistics.

Making changes to the text on the OPAC My Account page
by Scott Zollars 20 Aug '09

20 Aug '09

I would like to makes some changes to the text that is currently on the My Account page of our OPAC. Currently under the login and password boxes it says: Don't have a password yet? If you don't have a password yet, stop by the circulation desk the next time you're in the library. We'll happily set one up for you. Don't have a library card? If you don't have a library card, stop by your local library to sign up. Labette Community College * 200 S. 14th Street * Parsons, KS 67357 * 1-620-421-6700 or 1-888-Labette (522-3883) I would like to make it say : Don't remember your password? The default password is the year of your birth. Do I have to have a library card to check out materials? You do not need a library card. For LCC Employees and students you only need your LCC ID card. For community patrons you need your driver's license or state issued ID card. Labette Community College * 200 S. 14th Street * Parsons, KS 67357 * 1-620-421-6700 or 1-888-Labette (522-3883) I have looked in the settings and am unable to locate where to do this. Any suggestions? Scotty "You must try to generate happiness. If you aren't happy in one place, chances are you won't be happy anyplace" Ernie Banks, former Chicago Cub

Koha Post Installation Setup Questions
by Fahs,Joe 20 Aug '09

20 Aug '09

Hi All, I installed Koha 3.00.03 this summer on a computer running OS X Server 10.5. After some initial difficulty getting the installation (documented), things seem to be running smoothly, but being my first Koha install, there are a few things that I still have questions about. 1. The library was previously using a Follet system and the archivist imported the MARC records into Koha. I didn't see any errors on the import, but it appears that a number of the records don't show up in the OPAC search. Additionally, some records show up in the intranet search but not OPAC, and some don't show up at all. I've run the rebuild_nozebra script a couple of times, but that doesn't seem to help. I've been looking at the koha error logs and these are the messages that seem to repeat most often: opac-search.pl: Use of uninitialized value in pattern match (m//) at /usr/share/koha/opac/cgi-bin/opac/opac-search.pl line 418., referer: http://koha-catalog.stmchs.org/cgi-bin/koha/opac-user.pl [Thu Aug 20 13:02:13 2009] opac-detail.pl: Use of uninitialized value in concatenation (.) or string at /usr/share/koha/lib/C4/Biblio.pm line 1132., referer: http://koha-catalog.stmchs.org/cgi-bin/koha/opac-search.pl?q=mark+twain (the second error repeats for other queries as well) 2. I seem to be having an error with the Amazon web images as well. Images appear if they were previously listed in our old Follet records, but koha doesn't seem to be pulling any new ones. I'm going to try signing up for a new Amazon web services account just in case, but I wasn't sure if there is anything in particular I should be looking for in the logs. Does anybody know which port the requests are made for the web services? I'm beginning to wonder if it is a firewall issue that may be blocking things. Thanks, Joe Fahs
