Does the module only uses the bar code as the reference of the book to checkout? What if the records don't contain the barcode?

Changed email address, but email still going to old one
by carpentercarselibrary＠gmavt.net 20 Aug '09

20 Aug '09

I recently updated our email address in KohaAdminEmailAddress. However, our overdues attachments via the cron job and patron update requests are still going to the old address rather than the new. Is there somewhere else I should look to change the address? Running 3.01.00.039. Thanks! Richard Carpenter-Carse Library Hinesburg, VT

Error 500 when selecting a title
by Roche III, Edward 20 Aug '09

20 Aug '09

Good Morning All I started getting an error when selecting a title. If I search the catalog and then select the title link I get the following error: An Error has Occurred! Error 500 * In Koha this typically means that the Koha team is working on new features * Wait while system maintenance is being done or email the Koha Administrator <mailto:edward_roche@solanco.k12.pa.us> . * Use top menu bar to navigate to another part of Koha. The url is http://catadmin.solanco.org/cgi-bin/koha/catalogue/detail.pl?biblionumbe r=8266 and I have double checked the biblio table to make sure this record exists. Has anyone seen this before? Error on patron login if borrowed a book
by Bezunesh Alemu 20 Aug '09

20 Aug '09

Hello, I am a new Koha User. Currently I have upgraded the vesrsion to 2.9. And I've been able to manage the technical issues of the system very well. But now, there seem to be a problem on this version of Koha, i.e Patrons are not able to check their borrowed(issued)books through their profile unless the book that they have borrowed is returned. The error message " Error Login" will appear when a patron who has borrowed a book tries to login. But once the book is returned, then it allows the patron to login. Can you please provide me some help? Thanks.

Importing records from OpenBiblio
by Dale Foster 19 Aug '09

We are migrating from OpenBiblio to Koha. We need to import OpenBiblio records into the Koha database. Does anyone have experience in doing this? We have MarcEdit, so any templates would be useful. Using koha 3.00.01 on debian lenny. After installing, there are some fields that are 'greyed out' and therefore do not allow the input of data. 100a field 440a field 600a, 610a, etc i.e. all 'a' fields in the 600s, and all 'a' fields in the 700s and 800s. Thanks in advance for any suggestions, Carmel Young Malawi
