I have overcome the first problem whereby some fields were refusing to be edited. However when I try to save a new marc record I am still getting error message "Tag "" is not a valid tag. at /usr/share/koha/lib/C4/Biblio.pm line 1863". Is there somewhere I am missing? Stage MARC Records For Import
by Balcziunas, Adam 12 Nov '10

12 Nov '10

Hello, Vitor, This sounds dumb, but are you sure the records really aren't loading? I have trouble staging records when I'm in Firefox. I can do it in Explorer, but the status bars don't work, so I have to monitor it. If I wait a minute or two and go to "manage staged MARC records," I can see that the records did load, even though I got no indication that it was working. -Adam Adam Balcziunas Serials & Reference Librarian Liaison for Art & Design, Communications, and Theater Arts Landman Library Arcadia University 215.572.2842

authority list Publisher display
by Oriente, Rachele (OEKM) 11 Nov '10

Hello Kohaers, I am a librarian at the David Lubin Memorial Library at the Food & Agriculture Organization of the UN in Rome. We are implementing Koha for our ILMS. Right now, one of our cataloguers would like to have the same display of the Publisher as it was in our previous system. We would like the authority list to display as: City (Country) We have been told by our IT person that Koha can't handle the ( ). Here is an example. 260 _aLusaka (Zambia) Can the authority list display this way, with (country) ? Thanks in advance. Hi all, I have installed koha3.02.00 on debian-squeeze for testing purpose. After updating my koha database and quick indexing and rebuilding zebra i do not get any search result. I set necessary file permission to koha:koha. first i run these command *export PERL5LIB=/usr/share/koha/lib, cd /usr/share/koha/bin/migratoin_tools, * *./rebuild_zebra.pl -b -w then **./rebuild_zebra.pl -v -b -a -r. *These command work but can not get any search result. Please suggest me. My library is waiting to go koha-3.02.00. After run this ps axf | grep "zebrasrv",i get the following 5986 ? S 0:00 daemon --name=koha-zebra-ctl.koha --errlog=/var/log/koha/koha- zebradaemon.err --stdout=/var/log/koha/koha-zebradaemon.log --output=/var/log/koha/koha-zebradaemon-output.log --verbose=1 --respawn --delay=30 --user=koha.koha -- /usr/bin/zebrasrv -v none, fatal, warn -f /etc/koha/koha-conf.xml 5990 ? Tony, First, it's spelled Koha (not KOHA) - read here: http://bywatersolutions.com/?p=690 Next, I'm not sure how to help you with this specific problem so please remember to email the entire list so that someone with more skills than me can help you out. is there a LAMP bundle with Perl?
by Caitlin McGurk 11 Nov '10

Hi all, I'm brand new to Koha (actually, it isn't even installed yet!) and wondering whether or not somewhere hidden on the internet there lies a bundle to download Linux, Apache, MySQL and Perl. With so many programmers involved in Koha, there's just gotta be by now, right? I suppose the only other good route is downloading LAMP with PHP, then installing and configuring Perl separately? Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated! Caitlin McGurk Head Librarian The Center for Cartoon Studies <http://www.cartoonstudies.org> mcgurk(a)cartoonstudies.org

Hi All Just managed to install Koha 3.02.00.004 on Ubuntu and I have the following questions: 1. When I try to create a new record fields 100a, 650a and 700a cannot be edited. They do not allow me to add any text into them because the curser won't even get in there. 2. When I importing a record using z39.50, after clicking the Save and view record button, I get the message "Tag "" is not a valid tag. at /usr/share/koha/lib/C4/Biblio.pm line 1863" Whats the problem here?
