Additional packages for install_misc/debian.packages
by Eduardo Trápani 19 Oct '11

19 Oct '11

Hi, The setup instructions for Debian are great! I have Koha now up and running. I wanted to share the list of packages I had to install on Debian 6.0. It seems nothing is needed from CPAN right now. Could you include this list in install_misc/debian.packages? List of additional packages for Debian 6.0 squeeze: libalgorithm-checkdigits-perl install libbiblio-endnotestyle-perl install libyaml-perl install libxml-rss-perl install libtext-csv-encoded-perl install libtemplate-perl install libschedule-at-perl install libsms-send-perl install libpdf-table-perl install libpdf-reuse-perl install libpdf-api2-simple-perl install libpdf-reuse-barcode-perl install libnumber-format-perl install libnet-z3950-zoom-perl install libauthen-cas-client-perl install libbusiness-isbn-perl install libcgi-session-serialize-yaml-perl install libhtml-template-pro-perl install libhttp-oai-perl install liblingua-stem-snowball-perl install liblocale-currency-format-perl install libmarc-charset-perl install libmemoize-memcached-perl install libnet-server-perl install libmarc-crosswalk-dublincore-perl install libmarc-xml-perl install Also: libcgi-session-driver-memcached-perl install Right now libcgi-session-driver-memcached-perl is available on testing[1], not on stable. But you can download it from here[2] and install it manually, there are no dependency problems. Eduardo. Rebuilding Zebra
by Darla Grediagin 19 Oct '11

Good morning, In order to deal with some records that are still around after I have reverted some Staged records. The problem is that the staged records still show up, but when you click on them you get a Error 404. This was the message I received from the person who does this work. We had this error during the index rebuild this morning, which probably has to do with "missing" searches. 06:02:23-19/10 zebraidx(1575) [log] Records: 58000 i/u/d 58000/0/0 06:02:23-19/10 zebraidx(1575) [warn] MARC: Base address does not follow directory 06:02:23-19/10 zebraidx(1575) [warn] MARC: Bad offsets in data. new server
by Rachel Hollis 19 Oct '11

19 Oct '11

Greetings colleagues, I've got a new 64bit server to replace the 32bit production server. What would be the best way to go about this? At a guess, I'd think that the same version of Koha (production server has 3.03) should be loaded on the new server, then a backup from the production server loaded (this would have our preferences, saved SQLs, calendar, etc. as well as patrons and biblios, circulations, etc.) and finally we'd upgrade/update the new server to the new version of Koha. Is there a better way? Good morning, all. I just came across a blog post which says that starting on October 25 Amazon.com will require people using their API to include an Associates tag. I think this means you will need to configure an Associates tag if you are using Amazon.com for cover images. R?sum? becomes raesumae ; espa?ol ?becomes espaanol. How does one get diacritics to display properly? Also being a cataloger I was trying to edit a record that had the bad diacritics and found that I do not know how to add diacritics to a record. I am used to a dropdown menu that lists/shows diacritics to insert. How does one add diacritics to a record? Migration of Koha - No Results found !
by amutsikiwa 19 Oct '11

Hi I have recently installed my backed up koha files and database on my laptop for demonstration purposes. Everything went on well. However, If I do a title search for a book in the database I am getting the following: No results match your search for "kw,wrdl: Introduction to Software Engineering" in catalogue Is there something I should run to re-index the database? What should I do to make Items in the catalogue searchable on OPAC Kind Regards, Admire Mutsikiwa ICT Projects Manager Library IT University of Zimbabwe Tel:+263-4-303276 Cel:+263-772-239187 ---- The University of Zimbabwe is eternally grateful to the tremendous support it received from both local and international partners at its fundraising dinner. Re: [Koha] Koha Staff login: Error: You do not have permission to access this page
by T Alfred Vahau 18 Oct '11

Is the access via a proxy, like for remote access? 8080 is a non-privileged port so assuming permissions are ok in the OS, Apache and the database for the concerned staff category, perhaps its the ACL in the proxy? ACL specs may have changed in 3.4.5.
