Thanks for your kind help. Chinese, simplified and traditional, translation have great improvement. There is one question about Chinese language code. Can I suggest using zh-Hant-TW for Chinese written using the Traditional Chinese script at Taiwan. SQL statement

Greetings friends, I have two SQL statements that I would like to combine but I don't know SQL well enough to do it myself. Could someone help me? I want to get a list of titles (245a and 245b), authors, and call number along with home-branch and library location. Redirect loop in intranet at initial Koha install/setup

I'm a first time Koha user working through the instructions found here to get Koha 3.06.04 running on Cent OS 6.2: http://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Koha_3.6_on_Centos_6.2_i386 I'm using CentOS because this needs to run under Hyper-V. I don't have a whole lot of linux experience. In spite of that, I've made it through the instructions and have things *almost* running. Almost. What happens is that when I try to visit the administration page (the final line in the instructions) I get stuck in an http redirect loop. Koha's normal/opac side of course shows that the site is in maintenance mode, as I would expect prior to installation. I had to troubleshoot a number of other issues to get that far, but I updated the instruction wiki as I went, so someone else following that guide should end up in about the same place I did. Searching around the web (including but not limited to this list), the closest thing I could find is this post: http://koha.1045719.n5.nabble.com/web-installer-fix-amp-new-feature-tt30650… Reading that, I looked for a <kohaversion> element in /etc/koha/koha-conf.xml. I couldn't find one, and I'm not sure where it should go or what the contents of the element should be. There was a section at the end that looked promising, but adding the element there with only the version number for the contents hasn't helped. Windows or browser failure on certain Koha functions

Our small public library is learning Koha on a test system hosted by Bywater. We will go live in June. Although almost all Koha functions - staff and OPAC - work fine for us, we have found two staff functions that consistently fail on two of our computers but not on the others. So far we have not been able to identify the cause. The details are: Koha version 3.06.02.000 Host: Linux The two computers where functions fail: Hardware: IBM Think Centre and Lenovo Think Centre (both 4+ years old) OS: WIndows XP SP 3 up to date on patches Browsers: Internet Explorer 8 and Firefox 10 (current) Java: 6 Update 31 (current) The Koha functions that fail (that we've found so far) are changing the overdue actions and triggers (Home -> Tools -> Notice Triggers) and adding or editing an item record (Home -> Cataloging -> Edit <record info> -> Items). Failure mode: The Koha pages are rendered normally and all the blanks and buttons and drop downs on the pages function normally. Failure comes when you hit the Submit button (triggers) or Add Item button (item editing). The browsers' connection to the host times out after about 15 seconds. This results in errors such as "Server reset the connection," "Error 500," or simply a completely white browser window. You can use the browser Back button to return to the failed page and otherwise continue your session. These functions fail most of the time, but occasionally one will succeed. They fail only on these two machines. They fail whether you are using IE or Firefox. A public XP computer (HP with AMD processor) with the same versions of XP and the browsers never fails; our Lenovo Windows 7 all-in-ones never fail. Our Macs never fail. We have checked network connections, firewall settings, AV settings, software. Nothing we have tried cures the failures. If you know the answer or have any suggestions, we would be most grateful. bulkmarcimport-problems!

Hi all, my IT-expert is helping me import some marc-records which I have edited in Marc Edit. But importing the records back into Koha is not working. And the editing itself does not seem to be the problem, we get the same error message when trying to import the orginal, unedited .mrc file, which I pulled from the "tools/export.pl" page. Do the below messages contain enough information to tell what we're doing wrong? Any help is, as always, much appreciated. We are currently running version 3.6.2 on Debian Squeeze. Also: we're doing this on a copy of the database, could that be part of the problem? Koha & PowerSchool updating patron records

Greetings, I have been asked by the Librarians in our District if we can automate the PowerSchool data to go into Koha directly. I have been in touch with Koha and it seems to be a bit of a complex process. I have Auto Send working with other databases (AlertNow, SNAP, MealTime) but this one seems a bit more complex. Is there anyone out there that has Auto Send working with the Koha Database? Did you have to make header changes to match Koha or in Koha match PowerSchool? Thanks for your time! Sue

New koha installation at the American University of Rome

Dear Koha users, I'm happy to inform all of you that since 13th of Feb. 2012 there is a new Koha installation in production at the American University of Rome in Italy. This University is not really new to Koha. In fact, they come from a very old version (2.2) of 2006. In order to integrate the OPAC with the stylesheet of the American University of Rome web site, the graphical aspect of the Koha OPAC has been reshaped.
