Dear All, I tried to setting the "Staff Client" properties and since I did that the library selector possibilitis (combo on login form and the right upper link in main form) disappered. Where can I set the apperance of it ? Best Regards, Attla.

Partial Success with re indexing zebra

I was able to turn the zebra server on and manually reindex with this command: sudo -u koha -H env KOHA_CONF=/etc/koha/koha-conf.xml PERL5LIB=/usr/share/koha/lib /usr/share/koha/bin/migration_tools/ rebuild_zebra.pl -b -r -v After a cataloging session, I can run the above command and the new materials are searchable. However, the cron job doesn't seem to index automatically after each record. The cron job is locted in /etc/cron.d and is named koha and contains the following: KOHAPATH=/usr/share/koha PERL5LIB=$KOHAPATH/lib KOHA_CONF=/etc/koha/koha-conf.xml # The cronjobs #1 * * * * koha $KOHAPATH/bin/migration_tools/rebuild_zebra.pl -a -b -z 2>&1 > /dev/null I am puzzled by this. Step-by-step guide to enable Koha Staff Client on another machine

Hi, I've recently installed the Koha LiveDVD (v. 3.6.4) by Vimal Kumar V. from koha-community.org. This installation includes Webmin. I can use this installation with no problems, accessing both the Staff and OPAC clients. What I would ideally like is to access the Staff/OPAC client from a secondary machine via its web browser. I understand this should be possible. So, using a Windows 7 laptop I would like to access, via FireFox, the Koha Staff/OPAC client which is installed on on an Ubuntu 10.04 LTS machine. Can anyone please help me with a step-by-step guide on how to configure webmin so that I can access the staff/OPAC client from the non-koha machine? I would like to use one machine for check-ins/OPAC searches and the other for check-outs. I understand that through configuring webmin is how I would do this, but I could be wrong - this idea is gleamed from some Google searches. I could see some virtual networks in my webmin, but no luck - and I am not tech savy enough to figure this out without some much appreciated help. Please let me know what other information you might need. Bug of MARC XML export.

Dear Developers, I installed the latest version onto an Ubuntu 12.0.4 LTS yesterday and I imported staged MARC records into this instance, then I would like to control datas whit an export. I found a bug the XML type of MARC export does not create a "collection" root node just simply put "record" nodes without this and repeat the <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> header before "record" nodes. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <collection ...> <record ...> </record> <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <record ...> </record> </collection> Best Regards, Attila.

Koha upgrading error

Hello everyone, I have successfully installed Koha 3.06.02 on CentOS 6.3 a few days ago. During the initial install process i didn't enable Zebra indexing. Searching shelving location fails

We have storage all over the building so shelving locations are vital, and occasionally subject to change. We've got the locations all set up in authorized values, and all the item records have shelving locations in 952 c. But when I search loc=st or any of the other codes we use for shelving locations, nothing comes up. I've tried this in 3.8 (test) and 3.6.2 (production), with z39.50 imported records, uploaded records and original catalog records. The result is always the same "No results match your search for 'kw,wrdl: loc=st' in The Vaughan Williams Memorial Library, EFDSS Catalog. I also tried it with 'Shelving Location' option in the pulldown menu in advanced search, still no results. Collection code searches work just fine, so it's not a problem with all searches on authorized values in item records. Have I missed a setting somewhere?
