Strange searching problem (3.10.1)

Hello all! We've got a *very* strange searching problem that has arrived upon upgrading to 3.10.1. In a nutshell, search results are *very* inconsistent. For example, searching for *"five views*" ( http://library.pbc.wa.edu.au/cgi-bin/koha/opac-search.pl?idx=&q=five+views) returns 4 results, including one for the book title "five views on sanctification". However, searching for "*five views sanctification*" ( http://library.pbc.wa.edu.au/cgi-bin/koha/opac-search.pl?idx=&q=five+views+…) returns a no results found page. Similar issues occur when searching on part of a title and author. It seems that the more precise a search is, the less chance there is of finding the resource. Obviously, this is quite a major problem for us! Does anyone have any idea on what might be happening... or where to start diagnosing this? Love is my reason (2:54) -- The little damozel (2:53) -- Glamorous night. When the gypsy played (5:14) -- ........ users cannot search by title for "King's rhapsody" or "Some day my heart..." On the other hand if you set ind2 to 0 and format the contents they can: =505 00$tKing's rhapsody.$tSome day my heart will awake$g(3:00) --$tThe dancing years.$tPrimrose$g(2:12) --$tPerchance to dream.$tLove is my reason$g(2:54) --$tArc de Triomphe.$tLove is my reason$g(2:54) --$tThe little damozel$g(2:53) --$tGlamorous night.$tWhen the gypsy played$g(5:14) -- ........ If you need several 505s, it may be useful to set ind1 to 8 in the second and subsequent notes to suppress the display constant. But if what you're cataloging has uniform titles, I find it's better to go with added entries; ditto if you want to allow your patrons to search extensively on performers. As far as entering data for an enhanced 505, the web interface for koha makes it a real pain in the neck. It's easier by far to use MarcEdit (unless I'm missing a short cut in koha). Koha barcode scanner issues

Hello, My library is having issues with scanning barcode labels since a recent KOHA upgrade. Our barcodes are now much smaller, and unreadable by reliable barcode scanner. Our scanner does not have any issues reading the old barcodes. I have attached a JPEG that shows the old and new barcodes. Our barcodes are set to print on Avery 5167 labels, ½" x 1 ¾", 4 columns, 10 rows. Any advice or insights would be immensely appreciated. Sorry, forgot to include all the specs: Slackware 14.0 64-bit, Kernel 3.2.29 SMP, Perl 5, version 16, subversion 1 (v5.16.1) built for x86_64-linux-thread-multi, cpan version 1.57 calling Getopt::Std::getopts (version 1.07 [paranoid]), running under Perl version 5.16.1. Thanks. A riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma but that's my story and I'm stickin' to it.
