Stopwords with Zebra using Javascript
by spitaelsl 03 May '13

Good morning, I maybe have a temporary solution about the stopwords and zebra. You can use this following javascript and put in the global system preferences of Koha. The only thing you have to do is to paste the code in the "intranetuserjs" and "opacuserjs" preferences. Here is the code between the two lines with only 4 words. You can add as many as you want. ------------------- function removeStopwords(query) { var stopwords = new Array("A","ABOUT","ABOVE","ALL"); var string = ""; for ( var i = 0; i < stopwords.length; i++) { for ( var j = 0; j < query.length; j++) { if (query[j].toLowerCase() == stopwords[i].toLowerCase()) { query[j] = ""; } } } for ( var i = 0; i < query.length; i++) { if (query[i] != "") { string += query[i] + " "; } } string = string.substring(0, string.length - 1); return string; } $(document).ready(function() { var number_form = $('form').length; if (number_form > 2){ number_form = 1; } $('form').eq(number_form -1).submit(function(){ var number_q = $("[name='q']").length; for (var i = 0; i < number_q; i++){ $("[name='q']").eq(i).prop('value', removeStopwords($("[name='q']").eq(i).val().split(' '))); } }); }); ------------------- Cheers ----- Laurent Spitaels www.vki.ac.be www.ipl.be -- View this message in context: http://koha.1045719.n5.nabble.com/Stopwords-with-Zebra-using-Javascript-tp5… Sent from the Koha-general mailing list archive at Nabble.com.

Hello. Last night I rolled a third beta for Koha 3.12.0. You can find both a tarball and a .deb package at http://download.koha-community.org/ Please take some time to give it a spin and report any problems you might find. It works if you use one at a time but if you use in a multi user/library environment it crashes all the other user sessions. example: you login, make a clic, login in the 2º library and make a click, go back to the 1st and it already logout.. you login and go back to the 2nd and it is logout... if you stay in one it works fine. can somebody help me? or get me a tip to do this multi koha envirnment? sorry my english im not used to write :). thanks -- View this message in context: http://koha.1045719.n5.nabble.com/multi-koha-in-ubuntu-tp5753313.html Sent from the Koha-general mailing list archive at Nabble.com.

Updating the key allowed the update of 3.10.3 to 3.10.5 Thank you. -----Original Message----- From: koha-bounces(a)lists.katipo.co.nz [mailto:koha-bounces@lists.katipo.co.nz] On Behalf Of Tomas Cohen Arazi Sent: Thursday, May 02, 2013 11:04 AM To: w h Cc: koha Subject: Re: [Koha] Koha 3.10.5 released Make sure you still have the relevant entries in /etc/apt/sources.list.d/koha (if you named it that way). Also: a while ago new keys where created to sign packages on the repo, so you should run: wget -O- http://debian.koha-community.org/koha/gpg.asc | sudo apt-key add - on the box you're having the no-update trouble. In the worst scenario running that command won't do anything wrong but store the latest signing key on apt's DB. System configuration warning: analyticals in 3.10
by Elaine Bradtke 02 May '13

02 May '13

Here's the warning: "System preference 'EasyAnalyticalRecords' set, but UseControlNumber preference is set to 'Use'. Set it to 'Don't use' or else the 'Show analytics' links in the staff client and the OPAC will be broken." Our catalogue has many analyticals that were created in our pre-Koha database. Because many of the parent item titles are similar, we use the control number of the parent item to link the children to the correct parent. I turned on Easy Analytical Records, in order to make the creation of new analytical records easier. We haven't actually used the feature yet. But if it'sgoing to break the control number link we're already using, I may have to switch it off. Does anyone have any experience with this? Am I misunderstanding the warning? Changing the setting does not seem to make a difference to the imported records. Will it only make a difference to newly created records using the Easy Analytical function? -- Elaine Bradtke Data Wrangler VWML English Folk Dance and Song Society | http://www.efdss.org Cecil Sharp House, 2 Regent's Park Road, London NW1 7AY Tel +44 (0) 20 7485 2206 (This number is for the English Folk Dance and Song Society in London, England. I am running Koha 3.10.3 on Debian Squeeze. APT updated me nicely from 3.10.2 to 3.10.3. APT did not give me an indication that 3.10.4 was an unvailable update. Now it does not indicate 3.10.5 updates are available. I am essentially stuck with 3.10.3. What needs to be done to get APT working again? -----Original Message----- From: koha-bounces(a)lists.katipo.co.nz [mailto:koha-bounces@lists.katipo.co.nz] On Behalf Of Chris Cormack Sent: Wednesday, April 24, 2013 1:25 AM To: koha-user Subject: [Koha] Koha 3.10.5 released The Koha community is proud to announce the release of Koha 3.10.5. by Kerrie Stevens 01 May '13

01 May '13

Hello there, I'm hoping someone can help me - I need to run a report to find item records that have multiple items at different call numbers... Eg: one branch will have a title at a certain call number, and after merging records, there is now a second holding at another branch, but at a different call number to the first How can we identify these records? Any help you may provide is much appreciated. Thank you, Kerrie Harvest Bible College Library
