Enhanced messages
by Olugbenga Adara 29 Aug '13

29 Aug '13

Hello all, Is it possible to have all Koha patrons get messages like checkin, checkout etc without setting the EnhancedMessagingPreferences to Allow? I had assumed that this was not necessary but Koha was not sending messages until I turned this on and enabled it for the patron. If the EnhancedMessagingPreferences must be set, is there any way to auto enable the messaging options for all patrons who are already on the system as a default? I am running 3.12.3 on Debian 7 Thanks Olugbenga Adara Skype: gbengaadara Blog: http://gbengaadara.blogspot.com Twitter: http://twitter.com/gbengaadara Profile: http://www.linkedin.com/in/gbengaadara

RDA framework
by Chris Meech 29 Aug '13

Hi, The Koha RDA framework here http://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/MARC_frameworks#RDA_Framework seems to be lacking a 264 field. Has anyone got an RDA framework that includes 264? Custom Check-out warning
by Mike D. 28 Aug '13

28 Aug '13

Hello, our patrons very often want to check if selected books they already read. I found some warning messages at check-out but sililar is only for renew of actually checked-out documents. I know that is possible to check this in patron history but warning message is better solution for our library because our current system has this feature. Is here some way to patch Koha for this feature? Warning can look similar as show attached file. Thank You for help. Mike

Undo Import woes
by Katherine Eastman 28 Aug '13

28 Aug '13

So, here's the scoop: I exported only the bib records for a range of entries in my catalog so I could change their encoding to UTF-8 and fix my diacritics (they were showing up as a square with a question mark in the middle). I set the matching rules to biblionumber and to replace if there was a match. The matches were all made, but rather than replace the records, they duplicated without items (which I told koha not to export item data and not to process item data, so I'm not terribly upset about that other than the fact that they didn't "replace" the existing records like I thought they would). My problem is, now when I try to undo the import into the catalog in Koha>Tools>Manage Staged MARCRecords>Batch# -- it stalls at 0%. The .mrc file contains 1947 records, but I've been routinely importing and unimporting files with 5000 or so, so I don't think it's filesize. Is there something obvious I'm missing? Could it have something to do with not having cleaned out my reservoir? Please help! Here's the crunchy bits of our koha installation: Koha version:3.12.03.000 MySQL version:mysql Ver 14.14 Distrib 5.1.66, for debian-linux-gnu (x86_64) using readline 6.1Apache version:Server version: Apache/2.2.16 (Debian)Zebra version:Zebra 2.0.44

About Koha > Server Information > Zebra version line blank with error message
by Victor Pang 28 Aug '13

In Koha v3.12.03 as well as v3.12.04, I just get a blank line for my Intranet site at About Koha > Server Information > Zebra version and a error message "Zebra server seems not to be available. Is it started?". I have already started my Zebra server and also enable its SRU - I can get a zs:explainResponse page when I point my web browser at zebra.mylibrarysite.com:9998. How does the about.pl obtain the ZebraConnection? My server is (Mac) OS X Server 10.8 Mountain Lion (10.8.3) running Zebra v2.0.55 (it was installed to /opt/local path by MacPorts and Koha installer actually detected the Zebra path correctly). -- View this message in context: http://koha.1045719.n5.nabble.com/About-Koha-Server-Information-Zebra-versi… Sent from the Koha-general mailing list archive at Nabble.com.
