Patron/Member Renewal Notice
by Iming Chan 19 Nov '13

19 Nov '13

Dear all, I'm trying to work out a way to generate a patron membership renewal notice (say 60 days before expiration date). If anyone has successfully achieve this, please let me know how this is done. I prefer the notice to be in the format of a letter with latest subscription cost, etc. Then it can be e-mailed (or posted, if no e-mail address recorded) to the patron concerned. Looking forward to your response soon. If I keep the sms send > driver > preference empty, I do not see the SMS messaging preference. It sounds like the correct approach would be to write an SMS driver that talks to the HTTP API to send the SMS. -- Robin Sheat Catalyst IT Ltd.

Enable SMS messaging options
by arihant 19 Nov '13

19 Nov '13

Hi, We are handling the SMS using a custom solution. I would like to enable SMS messaging option without adding a sms driver. Adding a sms driver generates errors as we are not using the driver. 19 Nov '13

Dear Koha kommunitarians, I'm harvesting news for this month's newsletter. Please send me by the 26th anything you think your fellow community members might like to know about. And all you lucky #kohacon13 attendees, here's another chance to share your experience with the community in more than 140-character chunks! "News" can be as short as a sentence or as long as a paper. I especially encourage you to send me a line or two for the gossip/society column about what you're currently working on. And if you know of a go-live not announced on the list, please be sure to let me know about it. Thanks, Daniel Grobani

Jenice, Here is an example of how I rearrange something in the patron edit page in our jQuery: //Move Physical Address under Mailing Address $("#entryform #address").parent().parent().parent().attr('id','memberentry_mailingaddress'); $("#memberentry_address").insertAfter("#memberentry_mailingaddress"); //end move physical address Hope this helps. ___________________________ Christopher Brannon IT Coordinator Coeur d'Alene Public Library 702 E Front Ave Coeur d'Alene, ID 83814 (208)769-2315 Ext. 456 cbrannon(a)cdalibrary.org www.cdalibrary.org

How to wipe the database of books (on a test site)
by magmatic 19 Nov '13

19 Nov '13

I'm playing around with importing books into a test site, and I want to wipe the database ("delete from TABLE"), to start over. I think I need to delete a few tables, then run a script to do a full re-index or something, then wait a few minutes. Anyone want to give me a list of tables to wipe (and maybe the name of the script to run)? Thanks p.s. I may have already wiped a few tables. -- Tim -- View this message in context: http://koha.1045719.n5.nabble.com/How-to-wipe-the-database-of-books-on-a-te… Sent from the Koha-general mailing list archive at Nabble.com.
