Koha Server going down occasionally

Hi, Our koha server seems to be going down once every week on an average. Staff can log in, but can't do anything from there. Similarly, the OPAC main page comes up, but when I try to do something I get a "503 Service Unavailable". Here are the logs corresponding to the issue: https://paste.ubuntu.com/23131505/ I tried googling for a fix, but could not find anything. Hope someone can shred some light on this. Dalton

Introduction - Hello from Vienna - and first question

Hello to all, my name is Martin, I'm working as an archivist/librarian in Austria/ Vienna (at the moment preliminary checks were running for the change of our ILS from Aleph to ALMA and we already implemented RDA) and I have set up KOHA 16.05.03 for the private book collection of me and my wife and also my parents (est. around 6.000 books plus other media). So I have already two questions to the community: we have used BookDB2 (spacejock Software) prior to KOHA and had cataloged already around 2,000 books. Can you think of any converter to help import those books to the koha database? as of BookDB2, there were 2 possibilities to export data: as *.txt or as *.html-file. I have played around with the text file, converting it to MS Excel, re-converting it to txt and then trying the tool MARC-Maker, ending up designating categories to the text file. But before I'm going to import those file and possibly crashing my installation, I want to ask the community, if you see other possibilities to import those data? Second one: as I'm working with RDA (and MAB2 at the moment, but soon MARC21) I want to setup cataloging right away with RDA and MARC21. Do you have any suggestion to me how to set the whole thing up? Hopefully these were all questions by now but I guess there will be more, as my wife and I advance in reading the documentation. Setting up a koha mirror with read only access to the koha database

Hello, I would like to setup a second Koha server on a separate machine M, with read-only access to the koha database on our main machine K. (and update permission to the table zebraqueue) So what I did was to create the user mentioned in the file outputted by koha-create --request-db on the database on machine K. Then I edited the koha-conf.xml to use the same database as the one Koha on machine S is using, Everything including zebra-indexing on machine M ran fine, but the only issue I am facing is that opac logins logs out automatically very quickly. What could be the reason behind this? Regards, Dalton

Errors in updating database structure: from Koha 3.20.7 to 16.05.03

Hello everybody, I have just upgrade from Koha 3.20.07 to the last one release 16.05.03. I'm on Centos 6, all the Perl modules are ok, I have entered Koha and it seems that I can use all the Koha functions. However during the update of the database structure I got may errors, as you can see below. Is there anything troubling? Or can I go ahead using Koha? Koha 3.20 - 3.22 - 16.5: which release is better?

Hi everybody, I have Koha 3.20.07 on Centos 6 and I'm going to update it to Koha 3.20.14. My question is: is it recommended to stay with this release? It will be kept updated? Or is better to upgrade to 3.22 or the new one 16.5? Fine calculation problem

Hi Koha Community, I've recently run a report on our long overdue items and fine report. I notice a problem which the overdue fine didn't calculate according to our circulation rule set. Our rule set fine to generate 1.00 a day. When I run the overdue report four days ago, the patron has a total fine of 718.00 and today the fine become 707.00 and similar things happened to fines that is 2013 or older We've not adjusted any rules during the four days. We recently upgraded to 3.22 from 3.10. Will the upgrade cause this problem? Anyone experienced the similar things?
