I have Koha 18.05 installed, but have forgotten the login user name and password. As the database username and password are not going to work; how can I retrieve them?

Stage MARC for import - barcodes with zero padding before a number...

Hi Everyone, I'm in the process of trying to migrate resources from another system with barcodes that are in the format 00235. (There's 19000 resources, so changing the barcodes would be problematic.) When I stage them for import, Koha appears to treat it as a number, and strips off the preceding zeros. I've used MarcEdit to generate the resultant mrc file for import, and have previewed it to confirm that it still has the zero in the 952$p field. So it's not being pre-stripped by MarcEdit. Does anyone know how I might get around this? Thanks, Duncan. P.S. I'm an ICT Technician, not a librarian, so the whole MARC thing has been a steep learning curve :-)

Introducing a Puppet module for Koha

Dear Koha users and developpers, I would like to introduce to you a new Koha Puppet module: https://gitlab.com/cmaisonneuve/puppet-koha This work has been sponsored by my employer: Collège de Maisonneuve (http://www.cmaisonneuve.qc.ca/) Puppet is an open-source configuration management platform aimed at enabling automation of software deployments. The Puppet Koha module can take care of configuring the Koha APT repository, installing the koha-common package, managing the Koha configuration files and templates, installing and configuring the Apache webserver, and, of course, creating and managing Koha instances. You don't need a full server/client Puppet deployment to use this module: it also works with a standalone agent. It's currently light on tests and documentation, but I hope to fix this in future releases. Bug reports and merge requests welcome! Thanks, -- Jerome

Bulk Patron Image upload zip file giving Error 500

I am getting the same error reported in a thread in 2017. 1.Upload a zip file containing photos and index file. 2. File uploads and processes 3. Returns a 500 error. 4. Log reports: [Wed Jun 20 09:26:27.839953 2018] [http:error] [pid 27852] [client 111.111.111.111:61746] AH02429: Response header name ' inflating' contains invalid characters, aborting request, referer: http://<myintranetserver.com>/cgi-bin/koha/tools/picture-upload.pl 5. The short descriptions is that we’d like to bring management of all notice types together, treating overdues like all other notices, and making print notices a first class citizen at the same time. Currently dealing with print notices in a medium-large public library is …challenging.
