Koha 18.11 - SQL report to select ISBNs by Subject

Hi everyone, Running Koha 18.11 on Ubuntu 16.04 w/ MariaDB. Having a bit of trouble understanding the db structural changes made in 18.xx and how SQL reports are built in Koha 18.11. I know some tables and such have changed since the old 16.xx days. *I'd like to create a report that draws a list of ISBNs, along with call number and title, for my coverflow carousel based on subject (i.e., 650$a) keyword*. I'd like to start featuring subject-based resources on the carousel, not just new items. Any help would be very much appreciated. Just a note: there are a few reports on the Koha SQL reports wiki that involve querying on the 650 field; but these do not work for what I would like to achieve. Holds and one day loans

Kia ora, dear Community! Here's a tricky one, at least it has proven so to me... Say a library has two kinds of books: - One-day-loan - loans that are due at 23:59 on the day you borrow them and that can not be reserved/put a hold on - Regular loan - can be borrowed for e.g. 28 days and can be reserved Item-level holds are not allowed On shelf holds are "if all unavailable" RecordA has two items: - Item1 is a One-day-loan, sitting on the shelf - Item2 is a Regular loan, on loan to someone Question 1: How can we allow someone to put a hold on this record, when Item1 is sitting on the shelf? (It's like Item1 should not be taken into account when checking if "all" are unavailable.) Then we change the situation a bit: - Item1 is a One-day-loan, on loan to someone - Item2 is a Regular loan, on loan to someone - There is at least one hold on the record Question 2: If Item1 is returned, how can we stop that from triggering the "there is a hold on this". One-day-loans should never be used to fill holds. In addition: - Item1 is a One-day-loan, sitting on the shelf - Item2 is a Regular loan, sitting on the shelf = It should not be possible to place a hold on this record. Setting up autorenewals for a borrower category

Hi folks We seem to have a problem with automatic item renewals for a specific borrower type (in that they don't seem to be autorenewing). For this specific group we have the following circ rules: Loan period 30 ... Renewals allowed (count) 5 Renewal period 30 No renewal before 15 Automatic renewal Yes No automatic renewal after 4 ... Our understanding is that items borrowed by this group of borrowers would autorenew 4 times (for an automatic loan period of 120 work days, with a possible further 30 days available after renewing manually. Is that not the case? We do not have an autorenewal notice set up. Would this make a difference? We're on version 18.05. Publisher + Video Editing

Hi my learned listmates, Working as a library technician, the county offers certain courses for continuing education. I’ve contacted instructors who teach MS Publisher and shared a file I’ve been trying for a long time to recreate and then edit but these instructors had no suggestions. I subscribed to an online MS Publisher forum and posted my Publisher question and then reposted and it neared over 20 views but no responses. Has anyone found a good online forum to help them troubleshoot Publisher projects? I’ve watched numerous YouTube tutorials but none addressed the task I’m trying to accomplish. I’m happy to share that file via email with anyone who’d be willing to take a look at it? It’s a small file. It’s really too much describe in just words. Also, has anyone found a good video editing online forum? Again, this would not be for a tutorial but for interactive conversations like this online group? Thank you.

Incredibly sad and horrific news from New Zealand

Hello all I am sure you will have all heard of the terrorist attack in Christchurch, New Zealand by now. I don't want to say too much, I don't have the words, I am still in shock and heartbroken. But I just wanted to let you know, we in the immediate NZ Koha and Catalyst community are all safe and accounted for. I also wanted to say, that to all our Muslim colleagues, friends, family, and Koha community members I am so so so sorry that this happened. I weep for the families of the 49 people murdered.
