Koha: Arabic speaker(s) needed to fix a translation issue

Hello, If someone can reach an Arabic translator, this should be simple. As part of the work to release this month's minor Koha versions, a few string translations have been found to generate errors. These errors on even small piece of text can lead to major translation breakage not just on the invalid string. But no worries, they were manually marked for exclusion but the best thing would be to have the string correct and complete. Quarantine setting for Koha checkins

Has anyone developed a good method that you'd be willing to share to manage quarantined items in Koha? We are keeping new returns on a quarantine cart for 3 days before releasing them for re-use. It seems like the "CART" mode could be used for this, but I'm not so familiar with that setting and don't want to reinvent the wheel if others have found a good solution. Thanks! MARC modification templates question

Hi all We're about to batch change several thousand records because we're modifying the URL used to access our proxy server. To do this should we do the following? Add a new MARC modification template Add a new action to it: Copy and Replace > Every > 856 > u > to field > 856 > u > regex > s/[portion of URL to be changed]/[replacement string for new URL]/g > if > field > 856 > u > matches > m/[portion of URL to be changed]/ >regex Does that look right? Editing koha-sites.conf to allow for multiple instances

Greetings all, I am experimenting with setting up a second instance of Koha on my server. While I have the second one up running, including SSL, I cannot figure out how to edit the koha-sites.conf file so that I can access the staff page using https://[library1]-admin.[domain].org and https://[library2]-admin.[domain].org instead of https://www.[domain].org:[portnumber]. I have already tried to copy and paste this block: DOMAIN="[domain]" > INTRAPORT="80" > INTRAPREFIX="" > INTRASUFFIX="-admin" > OPACPORT="80" > OPACPREFIX="opac" > OPACSUFFIX="" > and change the ports that were used, but, alas, no luck. Thoughts on what step I am missing? Or did I overlook the information in the Wiki? Thanks in advance. Best, Sterling

18.05 to 20.05 login error

Hello, Our IT team has updated our Koha from 18.05 to 20.05 and we are getting login errors for some of the superuser librarians on our team. Some are able to log in while others, including myself, are not. I can access the login page to type in my credentials, but after I submit it, I receive the following error. Software error: {UNKNOWN}: Configuration not defined at /usr/share/perl5/Log/Log4perl/Config.pm line 579. at /usr/share/koha/lib/Koha/Patron.pm line 345 For help, please send mail to the webmaster ([no address given]), giving this error message and the time and date of the error. Has anyone experienced this? Internal Server Error after upgrading to Koha 20.05

Hello everyone, First off all I would like to congratulate everyone involved in the development of Koha up to this point of new release of version 20.05. This morning I upgraded our office Koha production server from Koha 19.11.6 to the newly released version Koha 20.05. After the upgrade, I managed to access the OPAC but failed to access staff login page with “Internal Server Error” message. I tried to do different options like restarting apache, upgrading schema and rebuilding zebra even reboot the PC but all failed to solve the problem. I kindly requesting for your assistance. Koha 20.05 - Adding a description meta tag to <head>

Hi all, Running Koha 20.05 on Ubuntu 18.04 (Bionic). I was interested in adding a description meta tag in my instance of Koha for Google indexing reasons. It looks like the included meta tags as part of a Koha package install are located here: /usr/share/koha/htdocs/opac-tmpl/bootstrap/en/includes/doc-head-close.inc Would it be better to inject the description meta tag using a jQuery stanza in OpacUserJs, or edit the doc-head-close.inc file directly?
