Z39.50/SRU search not working (only when language set to English)

Hi, if I enter an ISBN in "Search the catalog", on the next page, the "Z39.50/SRU search" button is not working (it does not open the popup for the Z39.50/SRU search). In the web console I get this error: Uncaught SyntaxError: expected expression, got ';' search.pl:636:29 This happens, when I set the language to german (haven't tests other non-english languages). When I set the language to English, everything works fine. Any ideas? Regards, Stephan

Hello, all! In a recent exchange, on 5 Aug. 2020, at 12:54 AM, I received the following response to my earlier inquiry about orphaned authority records: Did you try the script misc/migration_tools/remove_unused_authorities.pl? > I have looked for this on our Linux box, but I cannot find it. In fact, I cannot find any Perl script. Where are they kept? The Koha-Community.org website has not been helpful to me in this regard. Thank you for your help in this matter. P. S. Orphaned Authority Records: Finding Them and Deleting Them

Hello, all! I have been trying to detect, isolate, and delete orphaned authority headings, i.e., authority records to which no record is attached. I tried adapting the duplicate authority record report from the SQL Reports Library. I thought changing this one line would do the trick, but alas, it did not. HAVING count(authid) > 1 > I changed it to HAVING count(authid) < 1 > HAVING count(authid) = 1 > HAVING authid IS NULL OR authid = '' Alas, an empty report. Is there something I can do to find and then delete the orphaned authority records? Many of these orphaned authority records are duplicates that I am painstakingly merging two at a time. If I could get some help in speeding up the merge and deletion because going through the records two at a time is terribly inefficient. dual cover images suport

Hi We have seen that the cover images we have been loading into koha, in png format, are quite big (some over 1Mb) so we are checking a way to optimise their size. One option is to replace those png files with one with a lower resolution/size keeping the same png format and/or move to jpeg. Another option would be to convert them to a better image format like webp. The issue here is that that webp is not supported by some browsers. Therefore, we need to have two cover image versions. In this last case, we will either need to add a second image column in mysql for the optimized version or store them somewhere in the network. In addition to that, we will need to modify opac-image.pl or create another get-webp-cover.pl script in order to have something like: <picture> <source type="image/webp" srcset="/get-webp-cover.pl?biblionumber=243233"> <img style="-webkit-user-select: none;margin: auto;cursor: zoom-in;" src=" https://biblioteca.celacp.org/cgi-bin/koha/opac-image.pl?biblionumber=243233" width="445" height="695"> </picture> Instead of just <img style="-webkit-user-select: none;margin: auto;cursor: zoom-in;" src=" https://biblioteca.celacp.org/cgi-bin/koha/opac-image.pl?biblionumber=243233" width="445" height="695"> And /get-webp-cover.pl will return <img style="-webkit-user-select: none;margin: auto;cursor: zoom-in;" src="/image/ 243233.webp" width="445" height="695"> Will adding an additional column to mysql break future koha upgrades? opac-image.pl modifications for sure will be overwritten in future uogrades, so we will need to keep track of changes and reapply them after each upgrade. Any thoughts on the best way to go? Linking fields 770 and 772

Hi. I am working with serials, trying to link a parent record to a supplement record using 770 and 772 fields and it seems not to be working. In spite of using 772 0# in the supplement record and 770 0# in the parent one (using $w for linking records) no linking note appears to be displaying and no relation seems to be establishing. Problem in koha regional (Kannada) language search

Dear koha community members, I have installed koha (version - 19.11.08.000) on ubuntu (version -18.04). its working fine except regional (Kannada) language search. 1. There is no GoogleIndicTransliteration drop down menu in opac search bar, eventhough parameter has been turned on in staff client "Global system preferences > OPAC > GoogleIndicTransliteration > Show" 2. When we performed search in opac for regional (Kannada) language, then results will display entire (all) records entered in koha. There is no definite order ranking in results display. Kindly guide me to solve this issues as soon as possible.
