Add Authorised values manually - problems

Hello, I´ve been setting bibliographic data parameters...and i really don´t know why, but I cant enter authorized values manually. In the user guide by Stephen Hedges and Joshua Ferraro it says: Now when the catalogers are adding a record, they will see three dots (...) after the textbox of the 700a subfield. Clicking on these dots will open a pop-up window allowing the cataloger to search your authority records for a standardized version of the author's name. If the desired name is found in your authority records, it can be automatically copied into the 700a subfield. (If the desired name is not found, the cataloger can enter the name manually.) When I click in the three dots, I can do the searchnothing appears because I don´t have any values introduced. What I have to do to introduce them manually? What does the button clear? We found the admin username and assumed blank password but it now asks for a card number - and won't take some obvious guesses. What is the card number? Brett I. Database problem - I'm getting there but....

Hi, Thanks to all for the replies regarding my database problem. In the end it was caused by duplicate blocks which affected marc_subfield_table and marc_word tables :-( Sadly mysql tells me that it "can't find any fields in the table marc_subfield_table", even though the file itself is many Mbytes in size. As an aside even e2fsck didn't report any errors until I ran it in conjunction with badblocks. The good side is that the system is not live yet, we are in the process of adding books (via z3950). To fix the problem I will have roll back to the latest good copy of those files that got corrupt. I now have three questions (my problem is that I don't really understand how the database is structured): 1. How do I determine which books (ie. ISBN and our barcode) have been added since that latest good copy. 2. How can I validate that the data base does not have any errors. 3. Is there a way of getting mysql to fix up those tables? It all depends on your Koha use and environment. If you work with american or non-european library, if you use some biblio sources, you should try and use a framework near from them (in this case MARC-21). Dear koha experts, We are currently evaluating koha, and have noticed the following behaviour: The "Create a Blank Bibliographic Record" screen is displayed in french, where the rest of the interface is in english. We would like everything to be in one and the same language. :-) (meaning: english) Is this a bug in the translation, or do I need to change a setting, somewhere? (template is npl, but happens in default as well) System: Suse Linux Enterprise Server 9 x386 (completely patched) and koha 2.2.5 Kind regards! Mourik Jan
