upgrading from MariaDB 10.5 to 10.6 uninstalled Koha on Debian 11 Linux

Hi When I was upgrading MariaDB 10.5 to 10.6 on Debian 11 Linux, I discovered Koha 22.05.22.000 was uninstalled in form of koha-common. Koha was not there when I opened my OPAC URL. The process of upgrading MariaDB included uninstalling 10.5 which was when Koha as koha-common was uninstalled. After I installed MariaDB 10.6 I had a database but no Koha software. Koha relies on MariaDB to hold the catalogue. To get Koha software back, I reinstalled Koha software as root in command line interface (CLI) on Debian 11 Linux: apt install koha-common Cheers, Dwight Walker WWWalker Web Development Pty Ltd https://wwwalker.com.au (https://wwwalker.com.au)

I also suspect you are falling victim to bot traffic. Examine your logs to see if traffic is much higher than in prior periods. Consider using Cloudflare or Anubis to restrict traffic. KOHA technical upgrade question

Dear List, In the Fundamental Scientific Library, we use Koha version 25.05.03.000, on the Xeon® Processors E3-1240 v6, RAM 32GB, HDD 1+1TB. Also, active circulation is functioning. Our catalog consists of 536,000 records with ca. 900,000 items. Our Koha is operating slowly, and we think that the technical parameters of our server are not enough for satisfactory performance. Can anybody recommend what server to use? Thanks, Erlanda

Kia ora, Quick one - we're 11 weeks out from Kohacon25 in Wellington and I wanted to make sure you knew what's happening. The basics: 17-23 November 2025, Wellington The 25th birthday celebration of Koha Conference registration: https://kohacon25-1.lilregie.com/ Programme: https://2025.kohacon.org/schedule/ Why this one's different: This isn't just another Koha conference. It's the first time we've been back to Aotearoa since Kohacon20 (which was pandemic-limited), and frankly, it feels significant. We're starting with a proper pōwhiri at Te Herenga Waka Marae, we've got brilliant keynotes on Indigenous AI and digital sovereignty, and yes - there's a hāngi lunch planned. The programme runs through to working together days where we actually get stuff done. Numbers reality check: We'd love to hit 100+ to make this the celebration it deserves to be. If you've been thinking about it, now's the time. Wellington in November is lovely, the venue's sorted (VUW lecture theatre) and attendance is free! Koha August release with security fixes

Hi all, The Koha community is proud to announce the release of August versions: 25.05.03 (v25.05.03-1) 24.11.08 (v24.11.08-1) 24.05.13 (v24.05.13-1) 22.11.30 (v22.11.30-1) It is a bugfix/maintenance release including some security fixes. It is highly recommended to upgrade. The full release notes are available at: https://koha-community.org/koha-25-05-03-released https://koha-community.org/koha-24-11-08-released https://koha-community.org/koha-24-05-13-released https://koha-community.org/koha-22-11-30-released Debian packages are available. Tarballs will follow soon. Notes: Due to the 22nd falling on a Friday this month, we opted to move the release to the 26th. We are aware of some bugs regarding database updates on 25.05 releases. As soon as these have adequate patches that pass QA, we will aim to release v25.05.03-2 including them. In the meantime you can monitor Bugs 40528 and 40292. There’s also a manual fix to resolve 40528. Please feel free to reach out on Mattermost for assistance or comment on the respective bug.
