Dear all please Can anyone direct me to instructions on how to batch delete biblio records . I managed to batch delete the items attached to the records and now I need to delete the records themselves, but I really don't want to do this one at a time for over 1100 records . …Or have I misunderstood the process entirely. SQL help needed: borrower info needed in 2 contexts
by Steve Campbell 09 May '12

09 May '12

Here's one for you SQL hotshots. We took a report from the library and modified it slightly. It shows all items that are checked out and also have holds on them. Here it is: SELECT b.title, i.itemcallnumber AS "Call Number", i.barcode AS "Barcode", date(r.timestamp) AS "Hold Date", bo.cardnumber AS "Held For", bo.firstname, bo.surname FROM reserves r LEFT JOIN biblio b ON (r.biblionumber=b.biblionumber) LEFT JOIN items i ON (i.biblionumber=b.biblionumber) LEFT JOIN borrowers bo ON (r.borrowernumber=bo.borrowernumber) WHERE i.itemnumber IN (SELECT issues.itemnumber FROM issues) ORDER BY r.timestamp ASC It works as it is, but we would like to add something. It already tells us who has the hold on the item, but we would also like to see the borrower cardnumber, firstname, and surname for the patron who has the item checked out, i.e. in issues. How would we do that? Steve Campbell Converse Free Library Lyme, New Hampshire, USA

opac-topissues not working for some specific parameter settings
by Paul Poulain 09 May '12

09 May '12

Hello Koha, We have one customer that has the following configuration, and his opac-topissue don't work when he tried to filter by item types (for example "books acquired by any libraries in the last 6 months) : * item-level_itypes = active * advancedSearchTypes = ccode BUT, for this customer, the ccode is AT BIBLIO LEVEL. This works well, except for opac-topissues. If anyone has the same configuration and can confirm it has the same problem... -- Paul POULAIN http://www.biblibre.com Expert en Logiciels Libres pour l'info-doc Tel : (33) 4 91 81 35 08

Want to add more feature or module in koha
by sunil sharma 09 May '12

09 May '12

Dear All, I am Sunil from India and I want to start my carrier with koha, open-source Integrated Library System. I am working at koha from last 4 months and currently at some developing level, I observe all the feature of koha but I want to add some more feature in koha-community's koha like in liblime koha, which are: 1. Libraries can create new receipt templates for reach library by clicking New Receipt Template in the Receipt Template Manager which we add in any sys pref i.e. at Tools. (in other words: Koha will features customizable print slips and a management interface for the creation, alteration, saving, and deleting of customize print slips & circulation receipts). 2. Koha features a rich set of features around holds: including: - Ability to fill local holds first (thus reducing transportation costs) - Enriched holds queue report, including sort and pagination support for large list printing and functionality so a hold can be filled (triggered) or passed to another library directly from the report - New hold notices – for holds canceled and/or expired 3. the last I want to generate my report in word format also, as by default it is in csv format. Hope the community help me on these topics. Thanks in Advance, Sunil

KohaCon 2013 Wiki Reminder
by BWS Johnson 08 May '12

08 May '12

Salvete! A while back, a mess of folks expressed interest over the listserv in bidding for KohaCon 2013. This is great. :) What is not great is that the folks that proclaimed their love of hosting over the listserv do not match with this wiki page: http://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Kohacon2013 So if you're earnest, please edit it, and soonish that way we can generate a proper ballot. Cheers, Brooke

Dear all We are facing this bug again but this time with Koha 3.6.4, in our case.. We have [intranet] false "no items" using zebra and nozebra, but when you click on title of the record.. the item appears without problem.... the main problem is that those items with false no items are not indexed (the items) and you can't find them on advance search We have clean zebra index and reindex again and now appears all right... but I think I will export the records and import another koha and check what it happens and also upgrade to Koha 3.8 and check also what it happens I will keep you informed! -- *Hugo Agud - Orex Digital * *www.orex.es* * * Director Avenida Sarriá 29 · 08029 Barcelona <http://twitter.com/OrexDigital> :<http://orexsl.blogspot.com>hugoaguda - Tel: 93 539 40 70 Fax: 93 539 33 30 hagud(a)orex.es · http://www.orex.es/ No imprima este mensaje a no ser que sea necesario. Fiscal roll over in Koha?
by McElroy, Maureen 08 May '12

08 May '12

Does anyone out there have any experience completing a fiscal roll over in Koha? I'm referring to rolling or moving vendors, funds and orders from the previous fiscal year, to a new fiscal year. I don't see any information out there about this, especially regarding rolling encumbrances and orders not yet received, intact. If this is not possible, how do library systems in Koha segue into a new fiscal year? We are currently using Koha 3.6. Thanks in advance..... Maureen McElroy Manager Technical Services Dept. LDAP - shows wrong patron account.
by Barry Cannon 08 May '12

08 May '12

Hello, We have a site currently running Koha 3.6.0 against an LDAP (AD) server for authentication. On more than one occasion a borrower (different each time) has reported logging into their account with their login details but being presented with somebody else's account details. As you can imagine the site are very concerned about the security implications of this problem. I checked the session table (in case CGI::Session had generated 2 identical session id's, which should be impossible anyway) and cleared it down but it didn't take long for another user to report the problem. I will enable some more verbose logging on the LDAP connection but I am wondering if anyone else has ever experienced such a problem? Thanks Barry(a)oslo.ie http://www.oslo.ie
