Hii, I recently installed Koha 3.8.06. I have uploaded some records for testing but when I search for the record in the catalog search bar (staff side) and OPAC search bar, it gives me no results. Regards, Salman

Inventory Problems Column

Hi all, I'm wondering what kinds of things might show in the 'Problems' column on the inventory report? I've only ever seen it say 'None'. This comes from a comment on one of my tutorial videos: http://bywatersolutions.com/2012/05/30/inventory-in-koha-3-8/#comment-10075… feel free to reply there or here so everyone can learn the answer. Koha Help

Dear All, I have previously sent a question about koha 3.10.03 but did not get any feedback. I have installed another version of Koha 3.08.10 maybe this would solve the problems I am having but in vain! I will show one of the problems and I hope I can get a proposed solution for this: 1- When I go to the MARC frameworks page (under Administration--> Marc Frameworks), I get the list of frameworks with the first two columns left empty (Code & Description). 2- If I click on any “Marc Structure” link, I get redirected to the list of fields in the structure but also the columns are empty (Tag, Lib, etc…). But note that the drop down “In framework” found in this page shows the list of frameworks with their names. 3- If I try to create a new catalog (More --> Cataloging --> New Record) and select any of the available frameworks, the page refreshes but does not show the list of fields to be filled. I really would like to know your input regarding these problems. It might be a database problem or a simple missing settings while installing. Your help is very much appreciated. When I put it into an SQL report on the staff client it fails with this error: "Can't use an undefined value as an ARRAY reference at /usr/share/koha/intranet/cgi-bin/reports/guided_reports.pl line 766" Looking at that line in guided_reports.pl it is where the column headings are being loaded into an array. The problem definitely lies in the first half of the code where I am loading date information into variables to build the begin and end dates. If that code is removed and actual dates entered for the BETWEEN values the report runs fine in the staff client. If the answer here is that it isn't going to run in the staff client, I can set it up to run on the server and create a cron job to automate it. If that is the case should I open a bug for this, or am I getting outside of the scope of the guided reports tool to begin with? Koha 3.10.0 on Debian Squeeze . debian upgrade error

Hello, I upgraded to the letest Koha on my debian squeeze server. Now the catalog serach doesn't work throwing this error: Error: Can't call method "raw" on an undefined value at > /usr/share/koha/lib/C4/Search.pm line 471.

KohaCon Planning Meeting Update

We had a KohaCon 13 planning meeting today. Daylight savings started this month for us, and I remembered that after the meeting started. So, if you went at the correct time and nobody was there, we came and went already. Nancy is 1 for 3 dealing with UTC. We are looking for someone to be a Co-Chair (must be able to figure UTC correctly) We need an Opening Speaker who is free (past and present RMs are welcome) We need a Master of Ceremonies to introduce people, and keep things moving Cut-off date to submit presentations is April 15 (tax day!) get yours in today! We have proposals for training, Koha history, being a newbie, round table discussions, running Koha on a virtual server, telephone messaging, and more. We will be creating a contact list of libraries and users (voluntary of course), people you can talk to. There will be a "GoPro" camera for filming (Todd Cam ADHD) not sure how educational it will be, but certainly entertaining. Modify the Content of email notice sent to patrons during registration.

Hello All, I wish to change the content/ structure of the mail sent to patron when registered. I noticed that the sample of the mail sent to patrons is not in the Notices and slips i.e. Home › Tools › Notices & Slips › Add notice Can any one help me on how to change the content of this patrons notice email when they registered. I wish the patrons card number to be included in the notice and also to change the Koha administrators email. thanks

Hello All, I am new to Koha, we have downloaded version 3.10.3 found here (http://download.koha-community.org/) I have couple of questions: 1- I couldn't find any documentation or tutorials which help us to start using Koha; i.e. initial settings, etc... 2- How can we import sample data to start seeing some records in Koha? 3- We tried to create a new Framework, the code and description are always kept empty in the grid and when we try to import a certain framework into the newly created framework, we get an error even though the framework being imported has the correct format (csv or sql, etc...) 4- When we try to create a new Catalog, we select the Default framework, the new page is always empty and the fields are not being displayed to be filled. Above are some errors we were getting, I would like to know what might the problem be? Is it a problem in the installation? Are we missing any settings for Koha to start working properly? Is it a security issue? Your help is very much appreciated... Best Regards, Layale.

Error on Author serches after upgrade from 3.8.10 to 3.10.3
