Koha 3 on Shared Server

Hello Folks, I'm currently running Koha 2.2.9 on a clunky old server in a backroom right now and I'm wanting to upgrade to Koha 3 and migrate to a shared server environment where we currently have our website hosted (it's Bluehost.com) Does anyone have experience in this area and/or know of a guide to setting up Koha on a shared server (or even better, specifically on Bluehost?) Everything I've been able to find so far only seems to deal with a standard install. Cheers, Dwayne Collins

Koha 3.2, problem with Holds

Greetings Sir/Madam, We're using Koha 3.2 and are having a problem with Holds. Patrons cannot place a hold on checked out item, these errors come up instead: Cannot Place Hold Too Many Holds: Patron's name has too many holds. No copies are available to be placed on hold We've already created matching specific Circulation Rules for our library, but it seems that Koha overlook them. The errors completely disappear when we created Circulation Rules for the "Default" library, choosing Patron Category and Item Type as "Default". If we choose anything other than "Default" for both Category and Type, it says "Too Many Holds: Patron's name has too many holds." when patron tried to place a hold, but they can still peform said task successfully. Does anyone know why Koha doesn't use the Circulation Rules we've created for our library, but instead use the rules in "Default" and not very well at that? Is this a bug or implementation shortcoming?

Koha 3.12 feature freeze

Hello. It is 11:54pm on March 22 in Lima, Peru, and Koha 3.12 is now in feature freeze. This means that further enhancements and new features will not be considered for inclusion in Koha 3.12. We have the next two months to focus on fixing bugs and making Koha 3.12 the most stable Koha release ever. Sometime in the next few days I will be releasing a beta of Koha 3.12. I hope everyone will take some time to test it and shake out all the bugs before the final release on May 22. The next date to be aware of is May 1. On May 1 the master branch enters string freeze and no patches that make changes to the text of any part of the Koha web interface (including documentation patches!) will be accepted so that the translators have plenty of time to get 3.12 translated. There is one feature (bug 5343) that I pushed due to librarian and developer interest even though it was not 100% ready. Koha 3.10.4 released

The Koha release team, in association with the multitude of Koha libraries, librarians, support companies, developers and users, are proud to announce the release of the latest stable release of the 3.10.x branch, 3.10.4. This maintenance release contains code from 15 people from 12 different organisations, making it once again a great example of international and inter company collaboration. Excel to MARC for Koha

I tried to convert my excel data to marc for exporting to KOHA. But could not succed can any one explain how to give information for the tag 260 it has three sub field a b c (Place of publication, distribution, etc , Name of publisher, distributor, etc, Date of publication, distribution, etc) i have tried as $260a, $260b, $260c but its appearing on three lines. OPAC Usage

For reporting and statistical use we are interested in logging visits to our Koha OPAC in two categories--patron logins to the OPAC from outside the library and simple page hits without logins. Error opening browser to configure Koha Web installer
