You have a point, but one of the wonderful things about Koha is that it's infinitely configurable. When I set up Koha about ten years ago, I didn't quite know what I was doing, so I made reference, reserve, and circulating books different item types because that was the only way I could think of making different circulations rules for each group. (Still is, I think.) We're a small library, we're not part of a consortium, and in our case it doesn't really matter if a book's item type is Book or Reference. Our system makes things easier for us, and that's what really matters. Circulation rule for Collection.

Hi, In our library, all the reference books are catalogued under the item type "Books"; no additional item type is defined for reference books. However, reference books are marked with a CCODE "Ref", So now I want to set up a circulation rule for reference books or all items where CCODE is flagged "ref" that they are restricted from checkout. is there any way to do that? Coverflow plugin ini Koha 23.03

Yesterday we were upgrading Koha to 23.05 from 20.(something..). I think everything is fine, but one I found that the Coverflow plugin is not working. Enable_plugin in *koha-conf.xml *has been set. Where would I put the OpenLibrary ID in the MARC record

Gentlefolk I'm using the Openlibrary cover facility to display covers in my OPAC and it generally works very well (in the case where the cover doesn't exist in Openlibrary I scan and upload it). However, if the Biblio record doesn't have an ISBN or LCCN the cover lookup fails (obviously). Is there any way of recording the Openlibrary ID (OLID) in a Biblio record so that the cover lookup will work, even if there is no ISBN or LCCN? I've done a (fairly cursory) scan of the documentation but can't find and reference to where I should put the OLID so that Koha will look up the cover even if there is no ISBN or LCCN. Of course the facility may not exist, in which case I'd be grateful for confirmation from Someone Who Knows. Many thanks Nigel Titley

koha index issue

Hello koha version 19.11.19 We have bibliographic records with identificator from another system in field 035. This field is indexed as Other-control-number. This identifcators contains numbers and letters When I try to search in koha "as00g2oe", koha returns 30 records, only one has identificator "as00g2oe" in 035. Other records contains only "as00g2o" (without e at the end). It looks like oe is equal with e koha returns records with identificators: as00g2o1, as00g2o2,...,as00g2oe,as00g2of, ...as00g2oz When I try to search "as00g2fe", koha returns only one record. But searching "as00g2f" returns 30 records and every record contains "as00g2f". The issue is only with oe at the end of string What's wrong with koha index? thanks Viliam
