Multiple Databases
by vasovskis 15 Dec '15

15 Dec '15

I work for a public school district and I have 35 buildings that will need their own databases due to duplicate barcodes at each building. They will not re-barcode their books. Can I run multiple databases on a single server or do I need a seperate server for each building. Also, could anyone help me with hardware requirements for each scenario? I currently run my single ubuntu server in a virtual environment with 120gb hdd dedicated to the VM and 2gb RAM and 4 cores. -- View this message in context: http://koha.1045719.n5.nabble.com/Multiple-Databases-tp5865248.html Sent from the Koha-general mailing list archive at Nabble.com.

Modifying the Add New Patron Form/Fields
by Evan Mungai Njoroge 15 Dec '15

15 Dec '15

One of my client wants me to add additional fields on the patrons form for new users like Department, Unit, Section etc that are not currently included. I proposed use of extended attributes but they insisted on having them flow within the form rather than have them at the bottom. Does anyone know how I can add those fields using a JQuery code or any other means; or do I have to edit the source code and how do I edit the source code. I am using Ubuntu 14.04; Koha 3.18 installed on packages. Evan

by Ozkan OZMEN 13 Dec '15

Hi all, I saw some columns as NULL in old_reserves table on database. These: espacially itemnumber and biblionumber. Do you know why these field are recording as NULL? I want to learn this because our circulation report involved some NULL items. I am looking forward to your helps. Thank you. Koha search returns no results
by wildness 13 Dec '15

13 Dec '15

Hi! I hope you all can help me figure this out. I just updated Koha and can't seem to get any results. I attach a image of a search result and a record of the item i'm searching for from the SQL database. I was thinking it might be the indexing because of the update, but that seems odd (https://koha-community.org/documentation/faq/) <http://koha.1045719.n5.nabble.com/file/n5864879/Screen_Shot_2015-12-11_at_6…> <http://koha.1045719.n5.nabble.com/file/n5864879/Screen_Shot_2015-12-11_at_5…> -- View this message in context: http://koha.1045719.n5.nabble.com/Koha-search-returns-no-results-tp5864879.… Sent from the Koha-general mailing list archive at Nabble.com.

Missing lost status in Default framework item record
by Elaine Bradtke 13 Dec '15

13 Dec '15

We're running 3.20.05 I've noticed a few oddities in the Default framework since we've moved to 3.20 (fields we use all the time set to hidden) but this is the strangest one. In the item record (952 $1) The Lost status line is not there. It doesn't display in the editor, the numbering goes from 0-Withdrawn status to 2-Source of classification or shelving scheme Can anyone else confirm this? Or is it possible something corrupted the default framework when we moved from 3.18 to 3.20? The staff is not cataloging in this framework, but there are a few records in the system that are in the default framework. -- Elaine Bradtke Data Wrangler VWML English Folk Dance and Song Society | http://www.efdss.org Cecil Sharp House, 2 Regent's Park Road, London NW1 7AY Tel +44 (0) 20 7485 2206 (This number is for the English Folk Dance and Song Society in London, England. Authority Merge Error (3.22) + Framework error (biblio.biblionumber + biblioitems.biblioitemnumber)
by Craig Butosi 13 Dec '15

13 Dec '15

Hi all, Koha 3.22 on Ubuntu 14.04 LTA 64 (package installation) Part A I just attempted to merge an authority record with another, and received for the first time ever the following error after clicking 'Merge': Software error: Can't call method "data" on an undefined value at /usr/share/koha/lib/C4/AuthoritiesMarc.pm line 1491. I have never seen this error before, and I don't think I altered any sysprefs that would affect merge authorities from the move from 3.20 --> 3.22. Weird. Part B Also, I serendipitously stumbled upon one framework error after using the MARC framework tester (this is also a new error since upgrading to 3.22). Error output from the test result table is: biblio and biblionumber | The biblio.biblionumber and biblioitems.biblioitemnumber fields be mapped to a MARC subfield, So, I ran the following SQL query: ->USE koha_library2; ->SELECT frameworkcode, tagfield, tagsubfield, kohafield FROM marc_subfield_structure WHERE kohafield in ('biblio.biblionumber', 'biblioitems.biblioitemnumber'); Output is, +---------------+----------+-------------+------------------------------+ | frameworkcode | tagfield | tagsubfield | kohafield | +---------------+----------+-------------+------------------------------+ | | 001 | @ | biblio.biblionumber | | ACQ | 001 | @ | biblio.biblionumber | | BKS | 001 | @ | biblio.biblionumber | | CF | 001 | @ | biblio.biblionumber | | FA | 001 | @ | biblio.biblionumber | | SER | 001 | @ | biblio.biblionumber | | THE | 001 | @ | biblio.biblionumber | | | 999 | d | biblioitems.biblioitemnumber | | ACQ | 999 | d | biblioitems.biblioitemnumber | | BKS | 999 | d | biblioitems.biblioitemnumber | | CF | 999 | d | biblioitems.biblioitemnumber | | FA | 999 | d | biblioitems.biblioitemnumber | | SER | 999 | d | biblioitems.biblioitemnumber | | THE | 999 | d | biblioitems.biblioitemnumber | +---------------+----------+-------------+------------------------------+ Row 5 (FA 001 @ biblio.biblionumber) was non-existent when I first ran the query. What you are seeing is the SQL query after I added this tag to the FA framework, thinking that its absence was the issue. Specifically, I manually added a 001 tag to the FA framework, and replicated the subfield variables from the Default Framework. After saving the former, I ran the framework test again, but the error persists. These might be two very different issues, but I have no idea how to tackle either. Thoughts anyone? Would love to get my authorities module up and running again. Thanks all! Craig Butosi, MA, MLIS, B Mus (Hons.)
