loop over subjects (in SQL report)
by Giuseppe Angilella 11 Dec '16

11 Dec '16

Hi, I would like to list records by subject (in a SQL report). I can isolate the first subject in a record with ExtractValue(biblioitems.marcxml,'//datafield[substring(@tag,1,1) = "6"][1]/subfield[@code>="a"]') But then I need to perform a UNION DISTINCT with another SELECT addressing the second subject (with 2 replacing 1 between square brackets above), etc, when records can have a much larger number of subjects (MARC field starting with 6). Any suggestion? Thanks, Giuseppe.

Re: [Koha] Number of Koha Libraries in the Word
by Marshall Breeding 10 Dec '16

There are 455 out of the 4447 listings for libraries using Koha in libraries.org that do not have the geographical coordinates included: https://librarytechnology.org/libraries/search.pl?ILS=Koha&nocoordinates=on It would be a finite project to fix these and help would be appreciated. -marshall -----Original Message----- From: Michael Kuhn [mailto:mik@adminkuhn.ch] Sent: Saturday, December 10, 2016 8:14 AM To: Marshall Breeding Subject: Re: [Koha] Number of Koha Libraries in the Word Hi Marshall Am 10.12.2016 um 14:50 schrieb Marshall Breeding: > A map version of the Koha listings in the libraries.org > component of Library Technology Guides is available via this url: > https://librarytechnology.org/libraries/map.pl?ILS=Koha > > It's a bit slow right now and I plan to see what I can do to > optimize it a bit. > > Most importantly, having more libraries using Koha registered in > libraries.org will help demonstrate its global impact. I just searched the four Koha librariues I have migrated in 2015, two of them have a "+"-sign which apparently means they actually do appear on the map version. But two of them do not appear on the map - what will I have to do so they will also appear on the amp? Do they not appear because they don't allow public access? (They of course have an OPAC but it's not accessible for everyone) https://librarytechnology.org/libraries/library.pl?id=197116 https://librarytechnology.org/libraries/library.pl?id=197117 And 2017 will bring more Koha libraries... backing up files after crash
by Justin Martin 10 Dec '16

10 Dec '16

So our server crashed (don't ask, it was my fault, I broke ubuntu) anyway, after a couple of days of getting lots of help from the folks in #ubuntu on freenode It is officially unresurectable. I can get chroot access and pull any files I may need off of it but I can't run a report of any kind. Is there a way for me to grab stuff for backup so I don't have to start from scratch? It's there just the OS is broken. Justin Martin Library Assistant Abel J. Morneault Memorial Library

Update Release Notes of 16.11.00 ?
by Tajoli Zeno 09 Dec '16

09 Dec '16

Hi to all, I see tha release notes of 16.11.00 have few notes about new features and enhancements. I'm inserting notes about them, util now all new features and same enhancements. Do you think is it OK to update release notes into the code and create a new 'news' with more notes about the bugs ? Koha download
by divya batra 09 Dec '16

09 Dec '16

Dear All, I want to know for downloading the latest stable version of koha which of the links mentioned here is to be clicked. I also want to know how to go about the installation using source code. I also want to know that is there any place where we can first download the entire koha software and then install it (offline installation) as internet connectivity is not very smooth in my area so continuous internet is not available and speed is slow when it is available.
