Hi, i am using koha 17.11 and mysql ver 15.1 Distrib 10.0.36-MariaDB. on the about koha - system information - preferences and parameters page, there is an error message "*Warning You are missing the <template_cache_dir> entry in your koha-conf.xml file. That will bring a performance boost to enable it.*" please can someone outline the steps on how to resolve this issue? Thank you. Hi Carolina, That's the only situation where I've seen this is when you login with the database administrator account. So, could it be that you've used that as the superlibrarian user? If so, you should either use the superlibrarian account created during onboarding (see https://koha-community.org/manual/17.11/html/01_installation.html#create-a-…) or login with the database account just to create a proper patron account that you can use for other functionality. Hello Carolina, You should upgrade, what you describe is a bug that has been fixed bug 20998. Unable to enter Data in 100$a

Sir/Madam Currently I am using Koha 18.05 in Ubuntu 16.04. I have imported data and successfully running. Now, I got new books for that I have to enter data. Hello Koha community, We've found that when a librarian has some permissions (catalog + borrowers) but not superlibrarian and syspref IndependenBranches is turned on, we get a software error when this user not superlibrarian tries to find a patron within the patrons module: Can't call method "branchcode" on an undefined value at /home/www/our_koha/intranet/cgi-bin/members/member.pl line 56. Still, this user is able to find the same patron searched before if cardnumber or borrowernumber is used instead of name. We're working on Koha 17.11 + Debian 8. Has someone experienced this behavior and could give any clue? Should we report this as a bug? Thanks in advance!

Regarding the error in KOHA server migration

Hi All, I am trying to migrate our KOHA version 16.05.04.000 to another server with KOHA environment from our live server. In order to, I have moved files into second server and create a database and import the data. But when load the website shows the below error. *Software error:Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: YES) at /usr/share/koha/lib/C4/Context.pm line 785.BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /usr/share/koha/lib/C4/Auth.pm line 92.Compilation failed in require at /usr/share/koha/opac/cgi-bin/opac/opac-main.pl <http://opac-main.pl> line 23.BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /usr/share/koha/opac/cgi-bin/opac/opac-main.pl <http://opac-main.pl> line 23.* To solve this issue, I have execute the following query for getting the privileges for database permissions *GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON <db_name>.* TO <db_user>; FLUSH PRIVILEGES;* But the same error occurred. Can someone help me to solve this? Thanks Bharat! Perhaps my question was not clear enough to you. It is not about adding authors to marc21 framework. Rather it is about changing how the facets loop code work in Koha at present. Customizing Koha facets

Dear colleagues, Recently I've been playing around with movie related metadata. One of the challenges I now face is that of search facets. For MARC21, Koha combines 100a, 110a, 700a as the "Author" facet. In my data, I've defined their role / relator term (700$e) as "Film producer" / "Art director" / "Cinematographer"/ "Actor" etc. Is there a way to segment the data into similar facets based on their relator code / term? Short of re-writing the getFacets sub-routine in lib/C4/Koha.pm after creating custom idx in Zebra? Does that even sound feasible? Install goes fine, but I can only access maintenance mode

I completed the install of Koha (followed https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Koha_on_ubuntu_-_packages) In order to get to Koha I had to also run this: sudo a2dissite 000-default or I would get the apache page… But now, with or without the –intra suffix, it send me straight to the maintenance page… Any ideas?
