Saying farewell to QueryParser

Hi All, As discussed at the development meeting on the 19th February <https://meetings.koha-community.org/2020/development_irc_meeting_19_februar…> we have decided to remove the QueryParser option and code from Koha. This decision was not taken lightly, but with the move towards Elasticsearch and the lack of follow-through support for continued bug fixing and improvements in the QueryParser code we decided to reduce out maintenance debt and remove it. We used HEA to try to ascertain if anyone had been using the option and it appears to have little to zero adoption (and at the time of writing, had a number of bad bugs which meant using it was advised against for some time). Jonathan D has worked hard to produce a patch quickly to do this work and I intend to push this later today to reduce the risk of repetitive rebase requirements. So, join me in saying farewell to QueryParser, a nice idea never fully realised. Problems with Virtual Hosts?

I tried to install Koha following this manual: https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Koha_on_Debian My system: Debian (at digitalocean) In what follows, XXX is my domain at ".org". libersu is my instance. Contents of /etc/koha/koha-sites.conf: DOMAIN=".XXX.org" INTRAPORT="80" INTRAPREFIX="" INTRASUFFIX="-intra" OPACPORT="80" OPACPREFIX="" OPACSUFFIX="" Folder /etc/koha/sites/ contains an empty folder libersu. Directory /etc/apache2/sites-available contains only 2 files: 000-default.conf default-ssl.conf URLs: http://libersu.XXX.org/ http://libersu-intra.XXX.org/ When I open these URLs in browser, it opens just Apache2 Debian Default Page, not Koha. Software Error Message Showing in Koha 19.11

Dear LIS Professionals, Is there any problem with koha 19.11 for issuing reserved books? While I am trying to do so, koha is showing software error. Do anyone have any idea or suggestion regarding this? Regards Shibin S B

Remove leading zeros from barcode

Dear all, This time I need to change my barcode previously I had added 0 in front of barcode number e.g if barcode is 2560 then I added 002560 to make it six digit for 12 = 000012 but now I want only the numbers no leading zeros for 4700 books is there a way to remove all leading zeros from the barcode?any command????

Self checkout module if user in OPAC already logged in

Warnings after upgrading from Koha 19.05 to 19.11 on Debian 10

Dear all, I am currently running Koha 19.11.02.00. The issue I am raising was supposed to be fixed with this version according to the bug reports I saw but Iam still seeing the following warnings under "System information","Koha team", and "Timeline" of the "About Koha"page. I have checked that the <docdir></docdir> is defined inkoha-conf.xml and all the files i.e. teams.yaml, contributors.yaml, history.txtall exist under the /usr/share/doc/koha-common directory. I have also checked the borrowerRelationshipsystem preference which is set to values parent|guardian|father|mother. Yourhelp will be highly appreciated. Your database containedguarantee/guarantor pairs with no defined relationship. They have been set thevalue '_bad_data' in the borrowers.relationship and/orborrower_relationships.relationship columns. Fix them manually by recreatingthose relationships, or have your system's administrator correct the values. The following values have been used forguarantee/guarantor relationships, but do not exist in the'borrowerRelationship' system preference: ARRAY(0x560b4d16c088) If the relationship is one you want,please add it to the 'borrowerRelationship' system preference, otherwise haveyour system's administrator correct the values in borrowers.relationship and/orborrower_relationships.relationship in the database.
