Installer - can't get default settings to import

Hello, I have set up a server with Koha 20.05 and made it as far as the first several screens of the web installer, but on the "Web installer › Selecting default settings" screen after making my selections and pressing the "Import" button, I wait for awhile and then get the following error: Proxy Error The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server. The proxy server could not handle the request Reason: Error reading from remote server Apache/2.4.41 (Ubuntu) Server at 192.168.1.71 Port 8080 Is apache server timing out before koha is finished? How long should it take to import that initial data? Thanks, David

Getting errors while running process_message_queue.pl after KOHA upgradation

Sir/Madam, I have recently upgraded KOHA from version 18.05.03 to 20.05, also upgraded the OS from Ubuntu 18.04 LTS to 20.04 LTS recently. While using the KOHA version 18.05, the process_message_queue.pl was running fine and the circulation transaction notices were sending perfectly using the cronjobs. But after upgrading, all the things are working fine except the notices. I am getting the following errors and still couldn't find the solution. I am using Postfix Email server which is also working fine. The settings I had used in the KOHA version 18.05 are kept same. Two Koha instance but only one Zebra configuration

Hi We run a host containing two Koha 18.11 instances which both use the same Zebra configuration (as is the standard). Zebra uses the following files (etc.) that make no difference between instances: * /etc/koha/zebradb/ccl.properties * /etc/koha/zebradb/marc_defs/marc21/biblios/biblio-koha-indexdefs.xml * /etc/koha/zebradb/marc_defs/marc21/biblios/biblio-zebra-indexdefs.xsl * /usr/share/koha/lib/C4/Koha.pm * /usr/share/koha/intranet/htdocs/intranet-tmpl/prog/de-DE/includes/facets.inc We would like to have separate Zebra configurations for each Koha instance - I think it's not possible (as long as both instances reside on the same host), but am I maybe missing something? Serving an Intranet WebPAC from a Website

Dear Koha Community I have a Koha site that intends to publish their mature WebPAC to the globe. However, they decline to assign a public IP and DN. Their preferred route is to serve KOHA pages via their website hosted on Windows/IIS. Koha is on Ubuntu/Apache2 webserver. I had thought of using samba to share the Koha opac DocumentRoot, then create a virtualhost equivalent on IIS. Before I labour on this, any Koha geeks out there who can advise if this will technically work? Thank you Regards /Bravismore

Coverflow installation problems

Hello everyone, I am using a test database of our Library on Koha 19.11.06 (just auto-upgraded from 19.11.05) on Ubuntu 16.04.6 LTS. In the process of customizing the OPAC and installing the COverflow plugin as described at: https://bywatersolutions.com/education/coverflow-blog-post-update I have created the sql report by copying and paste the described content on that page: Report SQL: SELECT b.biblionumber, SUBSTRING_INDEX(m.isbn, ‘ ‘, 1) AS isbn, b.title FROM items i LEFT JOIN biblioitems m USING (biblioitemnumber) LEFT JOIN biblio b ON (i.biblionumber=b.biblionumber) WHERE DATE_SUB(CURDATE(),INTERVAL 180 DAY) <= i.dateaccessioned AND m.isbn IS NOT NULL AND m.isbn != ” ORDER BY rand() LIMIT 7 The only modification I have brought to the original code was to change the INTERVAL from 30 DAY to 180 DAY as the last operation made on that database was made on 25th February 2020. koha-plack --restart biblio

Good afternoon, After a while of using Koha it starts to slow down to save records and other processes. I run the koha-plack --restart biblio at the terminal and it returns to normal! What could be happening? How can I maintain the same performance without having to reset the koha-plack? Thank you, Victor

Koha: Welsh speaker(s) needed to fix a translation issue

Hello, If someone can reach a Welsh translator, this should be simple. As part of the work to release this month's minor Koha versions, a few string translations have been found to generate errors. These errors on even small piece of text can lead to major translation breakage not just on the invalid string. But no worries, they were manually marked for exclusion but the best thing would be to have the string correct and complete.
